You're my world
Your eyes stung as you peeled them open and your head pounded as the light flooded your senses. Memories of last night came back to you causing your eyes to fill with tears. You could feel the final few pieces of your heart fall apart. Last night had been the worst argument the two of you had ever had. It had started over something so small and silly but meant so much to you. You could still remember how he put his head in his hands as you packed your things up, silent tears falling to the floor. You'd taken once last glance at him as you walked out the door, knowing that your heart was no longer whole. You crawled out of bed, tears pouring down your face, you love him so much but the two of you just couldn't seem to make it work, there were too many arguments. The arguments never changed but day by day you continued to love him more. A knock on your door made you jump, you took a deep breath and wiped your eyes to go and answer it. As you swung open the door your breath caught in your throat, he was there, stood right in front of you. "Hi." He whispered, his voice was gruff but you weren't sure whether he had just woken up or if he had been crying. "Hi." You choked out, trying your hardest not to cry again. "Don't do this, please. I love you so much we can work together to find a way to fix this. Please don't leave me." His eyes filled with tears as he reached out to take your hand. You entertained your fingers with his and looked up to meet his eyes. "I love you too, so much but sometimes that's just not enough." "No, don't say that." He pulled you into his arms and you felt your resolve fade away as you moulded yourself against his body. It felt like home. "Promise me this will never happen again. Never let me walk out." You said, unable to look up at him. "I promise. You're my world, I'm sorry it took me so long to realise that." You sighed and snuggled closer into him. Piece by piece you could feel your heart starting to mend itself.
