Eoin Colfer, Cornelia Funke, Scott Westerfeld and Christopher Paolini.
What books would you recommend?
The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud is a really fun adventure series with a very cool setting. The characters are really well written. It’s great for fans of Harry Potter.
Here, There Be Dragons by James Owen is fantastic high fantasy that’s full of the coolest ideas and most imaginative characters from classic fantasy. It’s great for anyone that loves reading and fantasy.

Orson Scott Card, Libba Bray, Shannon Hale and Mac Barnett.

Five Flavors of Dumb by Antony John is great because the main character's situation is very unique, and it opens your eyes to types of storytelling. There's also good music references.
Seraphina by Rachel Hartman is a beautifully written story for people who love dragons, murder mysteries, music, romance or logic.

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher is a great book for children 12 and up and parents. It's a chilling book that leaves you thinking.
