Traveling wherever had become such a normal thing that she often got lost in her own thoughts, which consisted of throwing around ideas as though Mellie had tossed them all into a blender. Chaotic and messy. Which could very well explain how her feet had somehow lead to her reaching a waterfall; Wait…why was there somebody in the pool itself though?
“Hullo. Uh…to be honest I think I got turned ‘round somewhere. Not it matters too much.”
Nodding her head briefly, Kerri felt her throat lock up, insisting she shouldn’t try to talk and just let the woman do as she wished. It wasn’t as though she really had any claim to this place. Finding her voice after a moment, however, she forced herself to speak again.
“Oh, I see. I was just wondering if you’d need help finding your way back. You’re not that far away from the main path through the forest anyway, really.” She offered an uncertain smile. “I’m Kerri-Lee, it’s nice to meet you.”
“I wouldn’t be so sure of that. Business is very important to father.” So it might have perhaps been a slight exaggeration, but it seemed to have coaxed a laugh out of the girl, and that was a win in Blaine’s book.
His smile broadening, the blond took a step back. “Either way, thank you. I’m Blaine. Blaine Hart. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Miss–” He trailed off then, tone lilting as he left the sentence open to allow her to offer a name.
“Well, either way, I’m glad to have helped just a little bit.” Kerri decided, rubbing her arm with a smile. Regardless of where he was going, it would have been awkward to have that little trail following him around.
“Oh - Kerri-Lee, Kerri-Lee Silverye, but you can just call me Kerri.” She insisted with a smile. “It’s a plesure to meet you too, Blaine, despite the... unique circumstances.” He seemed t have a very relaxing aura about him, and Kerri was relieved she hadn’t slipped up and started to stammer already. Talking to people was not one of her strong suits, but she was finding it a little easier than usual this time.

“Will do.” He nodded and rubbed the back of his neck. He probably really should get that bell back on Mochi’s collar. He adjusted the cat in his arms, who purred and head butted Hiro’s cheek, making him chuckle.
“Oh, if you’re looking for some wifi, there’s some at my aunt’s Cafe. Down the street. That’s where I gotta bring this guy, so I can walk you there if you’d like.” He smiled as he explained.
“Really? That’s perfect! Thank you!” It would be a lot easier to find somewhere with a nice garden to relax in on the internet, rather than looking all over the city fruitlessly. “I’ll follow you!” She smiled a little wider, carefully readjusting one of the clips holding her bangs in place.
“Oh! Actually, do you know if this city has... well, I guess you could say, somewhere with a lot of nature? Like a big park? Maybe with a lake? Or just a pond. Anything... water based!” It might have seemed like an odd question, she supposed, but if she was going to stay in San Fransokyo for a while and earn some more money, she needed somewhere to retreat and relax.

Surprised but far from ungrateful for the gesture, Blaine breathed a sigh of relief when the pesky scrap was removed from his boot.
“Oh gosh, thank you. You saved me all sorts of embarrassment,” he confessed cheerily, sweeping up the girl’s hand to deliver a brief, chaste kiss to the back of it. “Much obliged, miss. I think father might have disowned me if I showed up to his business dinner with that little tag-along!”
Kerri stepped lightly on the offending piece of toilet roll, peeling it away from Blaine’s show before nudging it away with her own. That was taken care of, at least.
“Oh, you’re welcome! It was no trouble!” She assured him with a smile, though that smile gave way for startled surprise as he lifted her hand and kissed it. Oh, that was quite a gentlemanly move...! Instinctively she felt her cheeks warm slightly, and she offered a small laugh, before shaking her head. “I’m sure he wouldn’t have done that, but I’m glad to save you any embarrassment!”
“Ah, yeah. He usually does. Dunno what happened to it.” He chuckled and reached out, rubbing his hand over the cat’s head. The bell certainly wasn’t temporarily being used for a project of his… nope.
He took Mochi from Kerri and held him in his arms, returning the smile. “This fuzz ball’s name is Mochi.” He answered, scratching behind the feline’s ear. “And this fuzz ball’s name is Hiro.. Hiro Hamada.” He grinned, pointing to himself with his thumb before running his hand through his hair, purposefully messing it up slightly. “Nice to meet you, Kerri.” He nodded.
“Well, try to find him a new one if you can! I’m sure it’d help.” Kerri smiled and brushed some stray cat hair from her clothes carefully. At the introductions, she smiled a little more, even breathing a quiet laugh at Hiro’s self-referral as a fuzz ball. His hair WAS awfully fluffy, wasn’t it? It seemed like a fitting title.
“It’s nice to meet you too, Hiro. I’m sure you have to get your cat back home, but do you know anywhere where I can use um, the internet, for free? I just got into the city, and I don’t have anywhere to stay, and I don’t have access to the internet on my phone.” Technology was naturally a little baffling to her, but she’d remained semi in the loop, at least, so she wasn’t totally and completely inept (that would just be embarrassing.)
