Duke: held her close and rubbed her back some more. "It's okay, Sasha...I promise, it's okay. People make mistakes, but it's alright now. I'm going to take you back to your place and you'll be fine." Duke tried to be as comforting as possible. She moved away and Duke tried to bring her back in. "It's okay.."
Sash: Threw her arms around him once more and gave him a soft kiss on the cheek. Pulling away and drying her eyes she gave a small smile to him. "Thank you Duke... I-I mean... Not many other people at NYADA would be this kind... To me...."
Plot: Sash needs time to herself to consider where she is...
She looked out of her window and put her hand against the cold glass. It had been a while since she had cried like that... A long while. She closed her laptop and stared out the window into the dark streets of New York. Biting down on her lip she got up from her desk and left the dorm heading to the one place she felt normal and safe...
She was about to knock on his door when she stopped herself, she had to stop this, she had to stop throwing herself at boys whenever she was bored or emotional. She turned away shyly and walked away from the dorm and out of the school.
Sasha turned around to look up at the building. Four years ago she was laid out flat wasted at some strangers house smelling of shame and sex and now she was here... New York. NYADA! It was unreal and crazy and it scared her. She wouldn't admit it but she was terrified of the future and growing up but this school, this school was now the home to a baby... This was the future and she had to learn to deal with that. She quickly felt sick and ran into the city scared and lost.
She stopped running when she got breathless and slumped against cold brick wall and tried to catch her breath, the tears came fast and furious as she fell to the floor sobbing into her hands.
Many people passed her by giving her strange looks but she didn't care, she couldn't accept the fact that her life was going nowhere the reason she was even at NYADA was to prove a point.
Pulling her legs into a chest and sighed wiping away her tears biting her lip. She had to move... She could be murdered. It took her twenty minuets to get back to the NYADA dorms but she couldn't bring herself to go in. Instead she headed for the school itself. Letting herself into the music room she looked around.
Rachel would always do this and she never knew why but it was worth a chance. "Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away Now it looks as though they're here to stay Oh, I believe in yesterday" She started to lose herself in the song. She closed her eyes and just let out the song within her heart.
After she was done she felt wonderful, like a huge rain cloud had finally vanished. She still wasn't sure what she wanted to do with her life but she felt stronger with herself. She stroked her hair back and smiled to herself looking around the room.
"I am Sashekna Berry, I am a star and I belong at NYADA." She said to herself in the mirror before she left. She finally felt that NYADA wasn't just a reason to spite Rachel, it felt like a chance to prove herself to herself.
Calm down. Smoke a bowl, take a nap, eat a snack. If you’re talking about the dash drama from earlier, don’t let it get to you. All of us here at the school have a flair for the dramatics, let it roll off your back and adapt to it or you won’t be very successful handling criticism when you actually get famous.
You’re talented enough to get into NYADA, I’ll give you that - but all your talent is nothing different from every other small town, mediocre talented, girl out there. There are 500+ other people who are just like you, you aren’t special. I believe I already reminded you that you’re no where near my level of expertise and talent, though. So this conversation is a waste of my time. Why not go drink yourself into another blackout? Its obvious that you have no brain cells to lose.
