*the crow flies in small circles around his head, then hops around his feet, looking up at him in what looks like eagerness*
@one-mind-murder (sorry to be absent, got distracted w life things)
Freminet looked down at the crow, his head tilted. "Do you want a shell too?"
With a soft smile, he crouched down and offered a smaller shell to the crow. It was darker than all the others, but the top of it had a purple-ish shine. "Here. It looks like you."
*it rubs its beak against the shell, then scoops it up in its talons before leaping into the air. it flies in a circle around freminet's head again before flying off—presumably to put the shell away.*
*the crow tilts its head, hopping a little closer*
-crow
Rhodes slowly tapped it's feathery head with a finger, acting as if he was petting the white crow.
"...What are you doing here, buddy?" He mumbled, staring curiously at the crow
*the crow leans into the touch. despite its eyes being red, they seem soft... and oddly intelligent.*
Rhodes smiled softly at the crow leaning into his touch.
"..Wheres your flock, buddy?" He was quite curious, tilting his head.
*it flares its wings, ruffling its feathers before letting them fall flat.*
He let out a soft hum, still patting the crow's head gently before pulling away.
*it hops around in the snow next to him, looking up still. it seems it doesn't intend to leave.*
Rhodes blinked softly, letting out a soft giggle at the crow's actions.
"I don't want you to lose your flock.."
*it waves a wing dismissively. it seems it's not overly concerned about that.*
Rhodes sighed softly, "You can understand me,, hm.. would you like to come with me?"
*it bobs its head once, hopping even closer.*
Rhodes giggled softly to himself, kneeling down and offering his sleeve for the crow to hop on, hoping that the crow's talons were not as sharp as he thought they were
*it steps up carefully, mindful of its talons.*
Rhodes smiled and got up with the crow on his sleeve, petting the crow underneath its chin/beak
*it closes its eyes and tilts its beak up slightly more to give him better access*
He kept petting the crow, a smile on his face. "You are just the cutest..!"
*it makes a soft chrrr sound low in its throat, fluffing its feathers slightly before drawing in on itself, like it's getting cozy*
Rhodes giggled softly at the actions of the crow.
"Your getting cozy hm..?"
He paused, frowning softly
"You can't stay with me .. you need to go back to your flock.."
*it clicks its beak again, waving its wing in the same dismissive gesture as before, then waves it wider, as if gesturing farther away.*
Rhodes tilted his head,
"Your flock is farther away?"
Look, he's not that smart if the crow isn't meaning that..
*it bobs its head again, ruffling its wings to settle itself again.*
*it tilts its head in thought, then slowly nods in agreement. then it hops over to him and shows its clean talons, looking up at him.*
-crow
Hm? What. Are you actually asking if you can sit on my shoulder?
Tch. Don't pretend like you're better than other birds and just get on already before a finch gets there first.
*the crow moves its head like it's rolling its eyes before flapping its wings to settle on his shoulder, careful not to pierce his clothes with its talons*
Once the crow was settled on his shoulder, he continued his aimless wandering. This bird not getting immediately shoved off compared to others.
*the crow sets to preening, straightening out feathers that has become misaligned by its small splash in the creek... and when it runs out of feathers it starts beaking through wanderer's hair. gently, of course. it's not a barbarian.*
Wanderer tilts his head away
What are you?-- stop-
Do you Have to do that?
*it waves a leaf it picked from his hair in front of his face, dropping it behind his shoulder, but it doesn't resume preening him, instead fluffing up its feathers and turning its head away, seemingly pouting but respecting his irritation.*
The leaf gets squinted at for a moment, before he lets out a seemingly annoyed sigh.
Thanks. I guess.
No longer getting distracted, he once again inspects his remaining hat ribbon. Paying just enough attention to their surroundings to not bump into anything or get ambushed by anyone.
*it tucks its head under its wing and falls still*
*the crow tilts its head, hopping a little closer*

“Hi birdie… you’re a really pretty green, I think I’ll call you meadow…”
(Cherri picks up meadow and puts the crow on her shoulder)
*the newly-dubbed meadow settles onto her shoulder easily, immediately turning its attention to picking twigs and leaves out of its feathers*
“I wonder where the rest of your murder is…”
( cherri looks for other crows around to make sure they didn’t abandon meadow)
*meadow makes a dismissive clicking sound and waves a wing before returning to its preening.*
“ you’re a sassy one aren’t you..?”
( Cherri laughs)
*it waggles its head with more attitude, but it doesn't leave, so obviously it's not that bothered*
