Having brought Eric’s treasured garden back to life when we moved to our home in North Somerset four years ago (below), we have vast experience in overhauling a large garden & we know local landscapers who can work with us if you need anything more than garden design & planting. Bristol Folk House Wedding 

What a great venue! The courtyard area was perfect for such a sunny day (HOT! phew!) and the main hall was a great space for the ceilidh. 

We worked with the Bride and Groom on the design of the courtyard and hall. We prepared the flowers in vintage jugs, sorted and hung bunting for them from BoBunting, sourced and hung fairy lights, plus a standard lamp to add a vintage touch. We used a tin bath to hold the presents and cards and vintage tablecloths for the table and to cover some heaters in the hall. We particularly loved sourcing all of the antiques from Shepton Mallet flea market in the run up. 

The Folkhouse Cafe speaks for itself and is fun at the best of times. Lovely team and in there we hung some bunting made by the bride and her step daughter.

Would recommend this venue to anyone (but with a two hour turnaround took a lot of advanced prep!!)

Wootton Park Summer Wedding 

Loved helping with the design, making and project management on the day for this happy bike-loving couple.

The bride and bride’s mother did much of the buying and making and we stepped in as and when we were needed. We contributed in the following ways:

- Overall design - Advice on colour scheme and concept via moodboarding.  See the original mood board. - Table design -  Advice on table settings - Flowers - Advice and jug hunting! They used Studley Florists - Stationery - Helped write out the name places and table plan etc. Bride did the buying of seed packets etc herself. Also wrote out the signage with some board writing (as pictured) - Hire of materials & props - We found and sprayed a vintage bike wheel for the table plan to compliment the bike theme. We also hunted high and low for milk churns and jugs. We also hired out the festoon lighting for the outside.

- Bespoke item production - We got hands on, producing 50m of purple gingham and hessian bunting for this space (pictured via instagram), helping to hang this on the day. We hope you like!

GIG VENUE WEDDING - TRINITY BRISTOL

We had such fun designing and producing this wedding for this creative couple. 

The wedding took place in Trinity Bristol, with the ceremony in a stunning old church and the reception in the main gig space.

To transform this empty hall into a gorgeous wedding within budget we contributed the following:

- Overall design - advice on colour scheme and concept via moodboarding.  See the original moodboard. - Lighting & drapes - essential for large gig venue transformation - Table design -  design of log centrepieces, place names, flowers etc - Flowers - to keep flower budget to a minuimum we used Gypsophilia and greenery to make an impact in such a large space - Stationery - advice on cards signage, table plan etc. Bride did the making herself  - Hire of materials & props - use of many vintage galvanised pots for the flowers, table jars, festoon lighting and white drapes

- Bespoke item production - we got hands on, producing 50m of teal, hessian and brown bunting for this space which went perfectly with the beautiful stained glass window (& the groom’s teal converse).

The ceiling needed some covering so we used white sheeting for drapes and festoon lighting to make a statement. 

Tables were laid with homemade jam and vintage kilner jars sat a top cut logs as table centrepieces.

Gypsophilia was used on tables and was dotted around to cover this large space - filling rustic buckets, baths and watering cans. We also made greenery wreaths to wrap around the columns.

The groom made a fantastic DIY ‘YES’ sign (as pictured). These can be picked up already made to help towards such a large space.

Norfolk Barn Wedding

We loved working with this stylish couple who got married between Christmas and New Year in Norfolk on a crisp winters day. The couple both have a love of film and in fact the proposal happened in a small privately hired cinema! 

For this gorgeous 'Gatsby style' wedding we were used on a consultancy basis, helping to make the day as beautiful as possible within budget. We made recommendations and sourced goods in the following areas:

- Overall design - colour scheme and concept via moodboarding  - Lighting - essential for a winter wedding - Table design - including runners, equipment (chairs, linen, crockery and cutlery), centrepieces, favours, place names and so on - Flowers - this bride was keen to keep flower budget to a minuimum so we were tasked with designing a different kind of table centrepiece - Stationery - invites/save the date - chevron to match the runners & overall ‘vibe’ - Sourcing materials & props - for runners and other bespoke items including signage 

- Bespoke item production - we got hands on, producing made to measure table runners and gold bottles for the day

The results were stunning!

Church Farm Wedding

Home of the Great British Bake Off, this quintessentially english village was taken over for the day during the May bank holiday. We responded to the couples request for a classic look using  roses and stock and these were incorporated throughout the venue, from brides bouquet, button holes, table place names through to garlands on the tables and doorway.

Floral Design

Roz is a trained florist and we love nothing more than to advise our clients on colour schemes, seasonal flowers and styles to make your event shine.

Village Hall Wedding...wild flowers and bicycles.

We had a lot of fun decorating the rafters with gorgeous white drapes, fairy lights and much Bobunting (friend of the bride - look them up). We hand stitched patchwork runners from the brides material stash and  photocopied the material to make some cute table flags to put into the wildflowers. They were stuck onto some vintage wooden knitting needles we picked up at a flea market to tie in with the patchwork vibe. We also used embroidery rings for the table plan as part of the theme. Matching the materials to the runners.

Our homemade paper decorations looked amazing and the bright pallet of the flowers were perfect with the creams of our muted handmade runners. Ranunculus, roses, lisanthus and limonium always look great together.

Oh, and balloons and flowers on a Tuc Tuc and a crew of bicycles. Yes, we agree, coolest wedding procession ever.

A Cornish Wedding

...for a book loving, design mad couple so every little detail was thought through with great care.

We wanted to compliment the surrounding so elegance and simplicity was key. You can't go wrong with all white flowers as they will always look very classic and very stylish. Gypsophilia, Lisianthus and hydrangeas are some of the most romantic flowers, so what better setting than a wedding to use them. We love a 'cloud' of Gypsophilia.

The setting was incredible. One Acre Garden love to travel the UK so getting to spend the weekend on the cornish coast (look at that sea!!!) was a privilege.

We kept the decorations simple so as not to distract from the view from the open sided marquee. We used antique mangle cloths as runners on the wooden trestle tables and added small touches such as peg name places and  book table numbers (pictured). The pegs went down a treat, with many guests choosing to wear them.  There was a very friendly vibe on the day as it created a talking point for everyone.

Flower-wise we took down our most unique containers and spent many an evening drying hydrangea petals for what was a really special day. Don't forget the book page cones that the confetti was put in...

A spring wedding by the sea = bliss*

Wreath Making Workshop

In early December, with Christmas just around the corner, we decided to hold a wreath making workshop to show people how to make their own door wreath. It's something that is actually quite simple, really a lot of fun and a fantastic way to make use of all the fantastic evergreen foliage that surrounds hedge rows and gardens during the winter month's.

The delightful guys at the Grain Barge let us use their space and made some very delicious hot apple and cinnamon cocktails. It was the perfect evening to get everyone in the festive mood whilst showing them a great new skill.

Everyone came out of it pleased as punch with their unique wreaths and it was great to see everyone's creativity run wild.
