The other staff at the resort helped Klaus unload a delivery from the smithy while Heracles manned the front desk. Currently, Hera was seated on top of the desk, rather than standing behind it to check guests in, and he was kicking his feet like an impatient child.
Not that he was bored by any means– if he was, he’d simply just fall asleep right there. No, he was entertained, truthfully, by the fact that the other staff were putting in so much work while he lazed about. He would help the odd guest with questions, of course, and give a little chuckle as one of the bell boys ran from the loading dock in the back up to the front of the resort to help a guest with bags. Since, of course, Heracles couldn’t leave the desk. It would seem that the other staff were going to be late tonight, so Heracles made some tea using a beverage bar in the lobby for guests and then returned to his post.
From his vantage point on top of the desk, he could easily see out the window at the front and watch as some animals wandered by outside and as the sun began to set. Overall, a nice day at the resort.
Klaus did what he could to help unload. As he only had one functioning arm he was unsure how helpful he actually was, but he did his best. Once it was finished he had someone sign to make sure everything had arrived safe and sound, then was directed to the front desk. It was late and he shouldn’t try heading home in the icy dark.
He approached quietly, noticing the man sitting right atop the desk. He could only assume he worked here right? So he spoke up, “Hello... Uh... I was told to come over here for a room?”
