I was tagged on Instagram to post a black and white picture of a cosplay and I ended up liking this edit. This Vault Dweller cosplay really made me love cosplay all over again. It made me realize that cosplay isn't only hand made costumes, it's about the fun one has pretending to be their favorite characters.

The first picture is my first attempt cosplaying ever. The picture on the right is a few months after. It’s not much of a change but I like to think I’ve improved a bit.

Cosplay
I've always been the shy kid. Even as an adult, I still feel like I'm not good enough. That feeling never went away. I started to cosplay because I loved the attention and admiration I was getting. I met many amazing people because of cosplay.
As beautiful cosplay is, it is also toxic.
There is so much negativity in the cosplay world. I won't get into it because it just makes my blood boil. I scared myself putting myself out there again. I couldn't do it. I felt like I was drowning. Cosplay is beautiful, but I can't keep doing it. It takes a lot out of me to just make one costume. It's financially draining as well. A few so called friends that I've made decided that I wasn't good enough so they stopped talking to me and unfollwed me on social media. I felt like I was to slow to make my way up and there was no way to catch up. I felt that the few costumes I had were not good enough to be presented in public.
For now, I am just going to be another admirer of cosplay. I don't plan on leaving it 100 percent. However, I need to rebuild my self esteem and focus on my personal responsibilities first.
