Brown and Grey for whichever oc you'd like
Answering for Vault Dweller Ślimak
I'd say yes, but not 100%. He is able to get the waterchip and stop the Master, but Ian is killed in the battle with the Supermutants in Necropolis. And Ślimak initially runs away from the battle after getting the waterchip, only to come back later with reinforcements to kill the Supermutants for Set and the others.
2. What animal do your associate with your OC?
Snails. Not just for his namesake. Snails are very anxious animals that hide whenever they're provoked, and their role in the ecosystem is bottom feeding and decomposing, dealing with the aftermath of problems, rather than acting on their own accord. He never chose to find the waterchip, he never chose to get the radscorpion cure or save Tandi, he never chose to fight the Supermutants, etc etc etc
3. How protective is your OC?
He's a coward but if you attack the people he cares about, he'll try to stand up to you. He very well will fail, but perhaps that just goes to show how protective he is?
To a fault. He refuses to say something mean unless you're already attacking his people. But if you're only attacking him, he won't say anything to defend himself. When the Overseer kicks him out, he just dumbly nods, thanks him, and walks away.
5. How much does your OC enjoy traveling?
He likes his routines and staying in one general area. As a child, he was very curious about the world outside of the Vault, and tried several times to sneak out. That adventurous spark us what caused the Overseer to rig the election so send him out in the first place, even though the spark was largely beaten out of him by growing up and joining the work force
6. Does your OC abide by the rules?
Only if he agrees with them. If he thinks the rules are dumb and isn't given an explanation why they're there, he's going to break them
7. Is your OC a homebody? Are they consistent with doing chores?
Very much likes to stick to his routines, he still has that spark of adventure from when he was a kid that leads him to founding Arroyo and marrying Pat, but once he does, he's cooped up at home figuring out how to run a town. He's very consistent at chores but sometimes gets caught up in a special interest or hyperfixation
1. How forgetful is your OC?
He forgets everything unless he remembers and remembers everything unless he forgets. He can't tell you were the thing you just gave him went but can tell you exactly what the two of you were talking about that time he was wearing a yellow shirt and you were eating grapes
2. Is your OC open to compromise?
He's very strong in his morals so if it's a matter of life and death he's not willing to compromise, but if it's something small or insignificant he'd like everyone to be happy
3. Has your OC ever thought about having children? Do they believe they’d be a good parent?
He loves kids. He wants to be a dad very badly and luckily has a wife also willing to be a mom as much as he wants to be a dad. They have 3 kids in the epilog of Fallout 1, Shaun, Penny, and Nugget
4. Is your OC emotionally open with the people around them?
He tends to joke about his problems more than being totally honest with himself or others about them
5. How mature is your OC?
Probably too mature. He was one of those kids that could emulate the adults around him and just slotted into the roles they wanted for him, up until he was a teenager
6. What is one of your OC’s happiest memories?
Playing with his brother and other kids in the Vault and finding the box of things left behind by his grandfather
7. How helpful is your OC’s advice? Do others come to your OC for their advice?
Not very helpful. He kinda just has no idea what he's doing and just goes with what has gotten him this far. But he managed to survive so maybe he's more helpful than he thinks
