request- the boys help you surprise brandon on tour, with like a lot of fluff and happiness. i need some more brandon fluff in my life
**the first time I posted this, something had went wrong. soooo here’s me posting it again, hoping it goes right this time**
Everyone knew Brandon had a thing for spontaneous girls; so his bandmates weren’t in the least bit shocked when (Y/N) asked them to help her surprise Brandon while he was away on tour.
They’d been on tour for only a month when he had started to miss her more than ever. Of course they facetimed and texted each other all the time, but that still wasn’t enough. Most days, Brandon wish he could pull (Y/N) through the phone and have her there with him. Since they started dating, they hadn’t gone more than a few days without seeing one other. And knowing they wouldn’t be seeing each other for three months drove them both crazy.
And that’s how she ended up here, in an uber on her way to the boys’ concert in Atlanta. Pure excitement was her only emotion as the driver pulled into the arena’s parking lot; a place where eager fans stood waiting for a chance to see any of the members before the concert started.
After paying and stepping out of the black Nissan, (Y/N) texted Edwin to let him know she had finally arrived and was outside. Much to her luck, the boy always seemed to have his phone on him, so he quickly replied letting her know he would be out in a minute. Moments later, a pair of yellow cargo pants appeared into her vision; meaning Edwin had came to sneak her through the back.
He waved at the group of fans who were now yelling with joy as they pulled their phones out. Many of them tried to get a word in with him as he passed by, but they all could tell he was in a hurry to do something as he looked around the parking lot for (Y/N).
She stood in front of the stage with her light pink Ralph Lauren hat pushed down her face, fans surrounding her as they all waited for the boys to come on stage.
Lost in her own thoughts, (Y/N) slightly jumped when a burst of music suddenly played through the speakers; meaning they were about to come out on stage soon. Her heart started to beat rapidly in her chest upon realizing she’d finally be reunited with her boyfriend after going months without seeing him. And from the things she’s heard, she knew Brandon would probably explode with emotion once he saw her. Especially since she’d been wearing the outfit he loved to see her in, which consisted of his shirt (that she could wear as a dress), along with a pair of fishnets tights.
Her eyes stayed glued on the stage as the 5 boys finally appeared in their energetic manner, earning a positive reaction from their proud fans.
Brandon had a habit of making eye contact with fans in the front row, a trait of his no one complained about. It wasn’t until he glanced into (Y/N)’s direction is when she decided that habit of his was not coming in handy in her favor. She continued to keep her hat low, but that didn’t stop from sending confused glances her way. He knew she looked like (Y/N), but he just couldn’t tell from the dark lighting and the placement of her hat.
“It’s my imagination,” he thought to himself, “she’s home right now.”
He didn’t want to let himself get distracted and take away from his performance, so he tried to not look at the girl whom he named ‘not-(Y/N)’. But it was just so hard to glance, when in front of you is standing the look-alike of the person you miss so much.
Thirty-eight. That was the number of times Brandon had looked in (Y/N)’s direction during the whole concert. She didn’t mean to keep count but anytime she’d look up, it would be him squinting at her through his glasses.
And here she was, backstage finally about to surprise him.
Him and the other boys sat on various boxes and speakers while they waited for the team to finish loading up the tour bus as they mindlessly scrolled on their phone. Trying to not make any noise, (Y/N) waved her arms trying to get the attention of Zion, speaking he was the only one who faced her direction.
He quickly spotted her watched as she gestured for him to say something to Brandon. Putting away his phone, Zion sat upright on the box before making conversation.
“So… you talk to (Y/N) today?”
“Well now that you mention it,” Brandon placed his phone in his lap before continuing, “there was this girl in the front of crowd who kinda looked like her.” His tone of voice got higher as he reminisced on how similar the fan and (Y/N) looked.
Realizing what was going on, Edwin decided to join in. “Yeah, but, did you talk to her?”
“The fan?” A confused and slightly clueless Brandon asked.
“Your girlfriend.” Zion replied, obviously uninterested in the younger boy’ s confusion
“Oh, yeah. She said she was, uh, going to a concert today. Pretty ironic, now that I think about it.” Brandon answered, a smile on his face as he remembered the exact conversation they shared on FaceTime that morning.
It was taking everything- literally everything- in Zion not to blurt out how oblivious Brandon was being right now; but all he could do is hold back a laugh and pray that (Y/N) would just go ahead and surprise him.
Not being able to wait anymore, she chipped into the conversation. “Don’t you wanna know how the concert went?” Her arms snaked around Brandon’s shoulders as she did so, causing him to jump slightly before turning around to face her.
His face produced possibly the biggest smile in the world as he wrapped his arms around the girl, holding her close to his chest before beginning to sway in motion from side to side without realizing it. His face was buried into her shoulder when she heard him mumble something out to her.
“B, I can’t hear you.” She said between laughs.
Pulling his head back to make eye contact, Brandon couldn’t even remember what he had just said. He was too excited over the fact the love of his life had surprised him while he was away. It was possibly one on the nicest and most thoughtful things anyone has done for him.
“I don’t know–it’s just–you–I” the words fumbled out of his mouth. He was too excited to the point where he could barely form a sentence. He decided to cut himself short by finally pressing a firm, yet gentle kiss onto his girlfriend’s lips. Which lead to another one. And another.
“Now that she’s here,” a suddenly amused Nick started, “can you please tell her that dream you had ‘bout her last night?”
(Y/N) noticed the change in color in Brandon’s face as Nick said the word 'dream’. “What happened?”
“I mean…it’s not exactly my business. All I know is that a certain someone had to change his pants.”
a/n: again, to the anon, I hope this is what you wanted! thank you for requesting it!! (and sorry for the long wait, that was my bad)
