My most unpopular opinion is that Fresh and Nightmare may get along. Hear me out:
The parasite itself doesn't have emotions, at least it shouldn't under normal circumstances. Do you know who does feel, though? That's right, the hosts!
If I remember correctly, whoever's unfortunate enough to be infected by Fresh is in constant pain and mental distress, things that are pretty bad...
He's always producing negative energy that Nightmare can feed from, which is rather convenient if you ask me.
Y'all know where I'm going with this, right?
And don't get me started on how an alliance would go with these two.
If Fresh were to work for Mr. King of negativity, it'd be awful for Dream. Imagine seeing a sudden increase in negativity and when you check the AUs, you discover that most of its inhabitants are either dressed like they're in the 90s or, in the worst case, they're extremely weak and traumatized.
In the best-case scenario for the duo, they'd take over a good chunk of the multiverse. On an average case, it'd still put Dream on disadvantage depending on how many parasites are out.
Now, the reason why I said may is because... Let's be honest, personality-wise I don't think they'd be able to stand each other.
On one hand, Nightmare won't be able to put up with Fresh for long - dude's annoying, like, very annoying. Not only because he's an eyesore and his stupidly outdated lingo but because he's. not. respecting. him. Boundaries? Don't know her!
And on Fresh's side... Hanging out with Nightmare would blow up his cover so fast. What's the point of pretending to be the friendliest being on the multiverse if everyone knows you're on amicable terms with the one trying to spread all evils through the AUs? People would avoid him like the plague, more than they usually would.
It's still a very funny pair, though.
