I turned out to be okay! My city and my neighborhood not so much though.

I don't feel okay mentally right now so I'll be brief: on the night between the 18th and the 19th of July there was a massive ballistic air raid on Kyiv, my city. I think a total of 50 ballistic missiles were launched towards my city and, as you may know, there are no ways to defend ourselves against them at the moment. There are Patriot air defense complexes, but we don't have any ammunition for them.

With ballistic missiles there's only 1-3 minutes from the moment they're launched to the moment they hit the target. Tonight's targets were shopping malls and civil apartment blocks. Including my very neighborhood and my very street.

We had no time to run to the shelter (an underground parking lot of the building next door) so we huddled in the hallway of our flat, away from the windows. The explosions were so so loud, I heard the glass in the windows shake from the explosion wave. For a second I thought the missiles hit our building directly or broke the windows.

I made my family run in our pajamas in the SHORT break of 2 minutes between the missile launches. That's how bad it was. I noticed my mom, my dog and my sibling getting ahead and thought to myself that if I died and they got to safety first, I would be happy. We all got to the shelter and could barely handle the shock.

I felt like I would never ever ever sleep or eat again, that I never wanted to do anything in my life ever again.

My street is a short one, around 20 buildings in total. A missile landed 300 meters away from our home and all apartment blocks except ours got their windows blown out. A newly reconstructed historical building burned down. Our building was okay only because other buildings took the shockwave on themselves.

This entire situation and curse could have been avoided if this motherfucker made a polycule with 2 other Sidhe he advantured with. I am not joking, that situation wasn't a triangle- it was a fucking circle, bot nooooo, we have to be shy with our feelings so we can't tell a pretty noble lady we like her and that cool dude who hangs around with us could join too, noooo, we have to break our oath cause misunderstanding has happened (which granted, was caused by Unseelie fae doing Unseelie fae bullshit) and now all my people are cursed by our defacto God's that now if one breaks their oath they get kicked out of the Kithain society. Now he did return with aura and made amends with the other 2, renewing his oath and making those oath for their children too, but like, we could have just avoided all of that, my guy, we really could

ever heard about human safari? this is what the residents of Kherson are being subjected to, because russians are literally hunting them down, using FPV-drones and other types of weapons. they openly take pride in these war crimes and rejoice at every civilian they kill, and they also target medical (as well as firefighters and rescue workers) personnel who respond to calls to treat the wounded. what might seem like an ordinary trip on public transport is, for the civilians, a terrifying experience, just like simply being out on the streets of their hometown, because russian scumbags hunt them down everywhere.

always remember about the people who live in terror every moment. always remember what bloodthirsty creatures russians are. there is NOTHING "mysterious" or "beautiful" about so-called ruzzian culture. their true culture can be described in one word: terrorism.
