since I forgot about a few people and new Goslings have been added, here's a little update:

Let's also give the child a bunch of weird cousins or uncles or more brothers (really depends on the day) and sometimes one of them is also his father, we of course can't forget Carl, the skittles and twizzlers (yes, the candy is a character) and also the rivals/nemeses/toxic situationships of the brothers and cousins plus the boss of the convict and Jack. Then there's of course Laika who was just casually dropped into this fandom and also the nanny bot/Armando and cuz we're really fancy we're gonna add the Hail Mary and Blip-A (I saw some amazing human version art of them and I.Am. Obsessed.)

I fucking love the phm fandom

I was recently at a comic con, cosplaying Ryland Grace, not very good in my opinion (since I dont like wigs and I have brown hair I probably looked more like Olesya) but apparently good enough for a few people to recognize me, ask for pictures and even gift me some stickers.

These people made my fucking day so much, you have no idea..

i don’t think a lot of people understand how important it is to me that Ryland Grace, the main character from a popular book and movie, being commonly headcanoned as aroace with little to no romance involved. his relation to rocky as a companion and best friend is the relationship that people talk about the most. the power of friendship saved the day with no unnecessary b-plot romance. local man loved humanity and his alien best friend so much he saved both of their galaxies and planets. that’s so awesome, sometimes i’d never thought i’d see something like this

Your mutual friends answered them sometimes, coming up with ideas and stories. It was all fine as long as your neighbours were there because it meant they could technically still answer.

And now there are new neighbours. You don't know them. Sure, they're funny and lovely and kind too but man, what the hell? Who leaves like that?!

Some of your friends share your anger. Your sadness and devastation. But some say:

"Let's give them a chance. Maybe we never got all the answers. Maybe it's a shit move just to leave like that. But maybe, just maybe, the new ones have answers too. To different questions, sure but all that means is that there are more possibilities."

You're not sure if you'll ever warm up to them. Maybe you will. Maybe you won't.

Because unlike your old neighbours you have something they never got a chance to have:

Time, to figure everything out.

I adore how in so many fanfics the Eridians just find Simon floating around somewhere in space and basically just go:

Yesss give me more characters that don't have a love interest because the love they have for life and their homeworld is enough.

Give me more characters who value their friendships more than anything else, who love being alive and having the honor to watch the world evolve.

Give me more characters like Ryland Grace, who didn't need a family or even a dog. Who was content with his students and with being a part of a society.

Just give me more characters I can way too easily relate to because romantic love isn't everything. Sometimes loving life is more than enough.

Now that I finally read Hail Mary (plus I will watch the movie tomorrow) I can officially say:

the love I have for this science nerd teacher and his little alien engineer friend and the woman who dragged him into this mess and all the people who helped and also those who didn't, Omg I just can't-

Such a good character, interesting backstory, amazing actor who has some intense chemistry with his fellow actors and these Idiots (looking at you, amc) just toss it away.

Yk, the fact that it took me almost 4 years to figure out I'm aroace instead of bisexual only proves that I have dyscalculia otherwise I would've noticed a lot sooner that 0 plus 0 ain't 2.
