MAYBLADE DAY 6 - Prompt: Unpopular Character 📉

SUPER DUPER LATE MayBlade post, but unfortunately drawing that pose correctly took me so much time between corrections and rendering 😭😭😭 (The Day 7 drawing is almost done btw I just have to finish rendering, but I'll do that later bc I need to rest after working on this one 😅😩)

Anyway, I think there are much more unpopular characters than Ivan, but I chose to draw him bc he's the one that among all I wished had more screen time 😅

I had three goals with this piece. 1) continue working on perspective, 2) do a fully realized background, 3) execute it in a monochromatic palette. This panel redraw from MOF fit all of those.

Recently I heard the foreground should be darker than the background, which was 🤯 and will be very helpful moving forward. I made myself start with with background (get the tedious stuff done first) and did trace some of the large shapes but placed perspective points to tackle the books, shelves, table, etc.

Could I render more? Yes? Do I want this piece done and purged so I can move on to the next one? YES. ✍️
