    âI am a princess.
                  Not because I wear a crown,
                                but because I protect my people.â

Kiliel - Courting shenanigans
Made because of this.
âI believe I have misunderstood the instructions I was given.â
Bilbo hummed politely and continued reading the trade request.
âI read the entire treatise.â
âIâm sure you did, Tauriel.â
âI read it carefully.â
Bilbo hummed again. The young couple could be, at times, cloyingly affectionate. Thank the Valar it was only the elf visiting his study, rather than them both together; that could be unbearable.
âI must have done something incorrectly.â
âIâm sure itâs fine.â He was only half-listening.
âKili is upset with me.â
âIâm sure heâs not.â He wasnât really paying attention.
âHe did not seem to like the gift I gave him.â
âHe what?â
Okay, now Bilbo was listening.

gardening has this reputation as a gentle and chill hobby but you know what?? gardening is actually a constant and brutal conflict between the human need for control and the will of life to spread - a battle between life and death itself, even. in the garden I am the Overlord Supreme, Peerless Queen of the Dirt, Arbiter Above All, the ultimate and final judge over who gets to live and who must die. I drowned an entire anthill today for daring to exist in my realm, and the blood of hundreds has soiled my soul. my thumbs may be green but my hands are black and deadly.

"Tau! Put a shirt on! What is wrong with you?"
My character is casually walking around shirtless. How does your character respond?
W- *frowns and crosses her arms over her chest* Whatâs the matter? Â
@onetinyhobbit
You- What do you mean what is- you aren't. Wearing. A Shirt! You're half naked! *takes off his tunic and hands it to her, trying to avert his eyes*
Sam tapped the other on the shoulder, cocking his head to the side as bleary eyes looked up at him. "This isn't the best place to sleep. Would you like to come back to my place for a bit while we set you to rights?"
Miston just blinked. His head hurt and he had no idea how he got here- all he knew is that he wanted to go home.
â⊠Has nobody told you its a bad idea to pick up strangers?â
"Not the best idea to accept rides from them either but here we are. May I?" he asked, gesturing to the bench where the other was currently laying, hoping to get him to at least sit up.
*snuggles the frodo* "what's wrong?"
*says nothing, but nuzzles into Samâs arms, shrugging*
You wanna talk about it?
I donât know, seems to be just one of those days, I think. Being with you makes it better.
Let's go make breakfast. That always makes me feel better on these kinda days. And then we can go for a walk. How's that?
*snuggles the frodo* "what's wrong?"
*says nothing, but nuzzles into Samâs arms, shrugging*
You wanna talk about it?

&&Mister Frodo!-
   âAh, Sam!â Frodo stands in the round doorway of Bag End, surprised at the offer, but by no means unenthusiastic. âYou came at a good time,â he begins his reply, turning to grab a jacket from a peg, âI was beginning to feel cooped up. Itâd be good to get some fresh air.â Hobbits are indeed cosy creatures, very comfortable being at home â but the entire Shire is quaint and (fairly) calm. Idyllic would be the word. âWhere were you thinking of going?â
Sam smiled. His friendâs enthusiasm was always infectious, no matter the situation, and now that Frodo had said yes, most of the butterflies had gone from his stomach. âI was thinking about going down to the market. Pippinâs gone and stolen the last of my mushrooms, so I need to get some.â He was still rather cross about that, and Pippin had already born the brunt of his anger that morning, but going down to the market always cheered him up.
â just leave me. â ((this works a little better now :D))

âȘ â ⫠⟠Thorin turns to look at the other with         a bewildered look twisting features up         before heâs shaking his head. Graying         curls sway across shoulders with the         small movement as the dwarf remains         sturdy in the spot heâd stopped in.Â
             âI will not leave you.â         Thorin said stubbornly as hands curl         and uncurl at his sides before theyâre         reaching up to plant upon hips.

Sam looks down at the place that heâs fallen. His leg burns, a fire that seems to intensify every time he shifts his weight; every time he so much as breathes. Tears stain his cheeks as he grits his teeth, trying and failing to raise himself onto his good leg.
âI canât go any further, Thorin. I just canât.â

&&An Unexpected Ally-
Viola scrunched her nose and shook her head, jewellery didnât last long in a place like this, either stolen or traded for whatever was needed to survive. Even in such a desolate place jewels and metals were still worth quite a bit, sheâd taken extra care to hang onto her own precious necklace, more for sentimental value than anything else.
âSorry. Just dont see a lot of jewellery round these parts. Ye best keep an eye on it, tough to hold onta in a place like this, ainât seen anythin made of proper gold in a long time.â She shrugged and checked she had everything, trying to distract herself from His voice.
Creeping out the back of the tent she made sure there was no one around, once she was sure she motioned the Hobbit to follow her âCoast is clear, if we can make it to them ditches we can avoid bein spotted. Fluffy usually hides round there.â She made sure she had an arrow ready if they were spotted.
Taking a deep breath she closed her eyes, His voice was still loud, still telling her that taking the ring on the chain was a good thing, that sheâd be a good little orc if she did âshut up, shut up, shut up!â She whispered and covered her ears âleave me alone!â
âIâm not trying to hold onto it.â Sam snarled. âKeep your nose out; itâs best you have nothing to do with this ring.â He was curt, but his heart was racing. He knew; he just knew that the ring was influencing the young girl, but he couldnât tell her to resist without telling the whole story. And that most certainly wasnât going to happen.
Seeing her struggle, Sam took pity on the girl. He knew just how hard it was to resist the call of the ring; in fact, he too was resisting it at the same moment. As she spoke, he whispered, hopefully loud enough for her to hear. âYou must- you have to fight it.â
As the warg- no, as Fluffy rounded the bend, Sam had to quiet his heart once more. If this orc was betraying them, they were already dead; the quest was already doomed. But he had no choice, not now that she had seen the ring. âWe need to get out of the open. Now!â
&&A King To Endure-
âAh, yes. He has always been anâŠadventurous sort. A very curious young hobbit, he was in his time. Mischievous too, and I have no doubt that the characteristic has yet to wear off.â
Sam chuckled. âI donât think that particular characteristic will ever wear off.â His stomach growled rather loudly just as he was speaking, and he gave the king an embarrassed look before asking, as politely as possible âI donât suppose you have anything to eat?â
A Beast Down the Barandiun
&&Beast in the Brandywine-
The Cetus perked up, a mixture of genuine shock and curiosity spreading across his wide face, and the soft, flexible âspinesâ rising at greater angles like feathers puffed out by a cold or frazzled bird. His head angled to the side, oddly resembling something more along the lines of a pup than a twenty-foot long monstrosity.
He would have had to decline on the offer of fish, though other meats he wasnât above consuming. Bruce had, after all, only declared fish off-limits. Anything otherwise dead he came across was usually fair game; scavenging came with less guilt than a kill. A half-eaten stag or naturally deceased whale was an easy feast. Waste not, want not.
The Cetus rose, rather abruptly, from the river rocks and a few stones scattered away at his movements. âWell, thatâs rather kind âf ye,â Bruce bellowed, raising his brows and flashing a smile filled to the brim with rows of serrated pearly whites. âAnd which way to yer lilâ âhobbit-holeâ?â
As the Cetus rose, a shiver ran through the hobbit, who was just now remembering just how big the monster was. He stood stock straight, trying to make himself look taller as his mind kept running over all of the ways in which this was a bad idea. He was a hobbit, however, which made him not just unfortunately honest but gracious as well, and now that he had extended his offer, he couldnât very well detract it.
âBefore we go,â he said, deciding that he must say something, even if it wasnât very polite. âyou must promise me that you will not harm anyone in my town, nor purposefully frighten them. I will try to get you there as quickly as possible but we canât have widespread panic. I wonât stand for it.â
