So this was Sona. Rakan smiled as he tapped a foot. He had managed to score tickets for a human concert, hiding himself under a costume: robe, hood, and mask to avoid recognition.Â
Music was truly a language that all beings could speak. He marveled at how different human music was, but so similar to his own Vastayan melodies. The people were practically praising Sona for the melodies that she trilled with her ehtwahl. Some were even dancing in a nearby forum.
Silent-type ay? Rakan nodded with a smirk and plopped onto the seat next to Akali. Xayah was giving her own introduction to the class, giving Rakan the chance for some small talk with Akali. He leaned slightly to the left towards Akali, whispering towards her. âSooo howâs the weather over there? Itâs clear as day over here!â
Wow. This bird must be somehow blind, or lacking simple understanding of how the world works. âI am sitting mere meters away from you. The weather isnât going to change. And of course the weather is going to be clear.â She pointed at the ceiling âThere is a roof over our head. Rain wont come in here. And that up there is a lamp. It simulates sunshine.â She said, being dead serious.
âAh... ahahaahaha..â He awkwardly leaned away from her to go back to his original position in his seat, a slightly dejected expression crossing his face for a split second. It quickly came back as his classic, ever-plastered smirk. Sheesh. This egg wasnât gonna crack easy.
âI was just meaning.. uh.. howâs it going?â Less awkward, more cautious at this point. â..whatâs your favorite subject? Mineâs probably chemistry.â He raised an eyebrow.
Ezreal trekked through the forest, wondering where he would find the old temple that that man had told him about. He was starting to think that it was all a joke, as he had been traveling through the forest for about 4 hours, and while he certainly wasnât lost, he hadnât found anything. Eventually, he gave up, and headed back to the town.Â
The rural atmosphere was lovely, and while Ezreal preferred the bustling streets of a major city, the inn in the small town certainly didnât disappoint. He looked around the inn interested, and quietly easvedropped on some of the conversations. He was a good listener, as any sort of adventurer had to be. He was hoping for a lead on the temple.Â
âIâm TELLINâ ya that the Temple of Lyrol needs to be protected at all cost!â Rakan was tapping on the table with an aggravated look on his face, his voice spoken in a hoarse, commanding whisper. He was playing as the representative of his faction of Vastaya, while the others at the table represented other factions. âThat place is a relic, and if the humans get their hands on it, who knows what could happen?â
The others were unfamiliar with the Templeâs importance, so they asked, âWhat could happen?â Rakan answered:
âLyrolâs waters can heal any wound and illness. Thereâs a limited supply, so we only use it in emergency circumstances.â He pointed at the Templeâs location on a map laying across the table. âIf the humans gain access to it, then theyâll use it all up. At the rate weâre using it right now, that thingâs supposed to last us for eons. But, the humans will make that into years.â
He breathed in the air of the classroom. He may be a new student alongside Xayah, but he had his hair groomed, his feathers fluffed, and his face was looking extra sharp. He was ready.
âHey everyone! Nameâs Rakan! I come from the mountains of Ionia, and I love chocolate!â He gave himself a smug smile as he went towards where he thought his seat was. âUhh.. is this my seat? Or is it that one over there?â He asked Akali.
What a parrot this new guy was. He may be from Ionia, but something about the way he talked kinda upset Akali. A proper smack face of annoyance and arrogance. No thanks. Akali no likey. So she decided to make him not notice her enough to remember her name. He obviously had his own girl, so at least he wouldnât be as clingy as Ahri, so that should be easy.
As an answer to his question, Akali simply nodded and pointed at the seat next to her.

âCalebâs pretty methodical and tends to just follow the fold rather than ~go with the flow~. Sure, heâs a chill guy and all, but I think Iâm here to loosen him up some.â
// Rakan, I donât thi--
âShhhh. Now, go and flirt and prank and dare like a normal kid.âÂ

// When I applied to college, not too long ago, I wrote to a really prestigious university that my favorite recording was âThe Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky Soundtrack.â
I never knew if I got in or not, just âcause of the sort of system I was applying through (I had to rank schools and only was only able to hear back acceptance notice from the higher ranked one. I got accepted into my first choice. This school was my third, so I never will know if I got accepted to my third choice or not.)

â Â Â Something you would change of the fandom/characterâs universe?
// I assume this is for me. I really don't know what to change about the fandom. The RP community tends to be a lot less toxic than the actual in-game community of League, so thatâs greatly appreciated. If I wanted to change something about the League universe, itâd probably be a want for more music-based champions. Iâm always a sucker for music-based anything.
His heartbeat rang into his ear. What does he do? What should he do? Whatâs supposed to happen? He closed his eyes, ignoring the voices in his head adding and adding onto the cacophony of his internal dialogue. There she was, bleeding all over the floor, and he couldnât do shit. All he did was distract. All he did was shield. What was he supposed to do when she took his job?
Hopelessly, he carried her into his arms, aimlessly look around the forest clearing to search for some kind of help. Hands grabbed tight onto her, but oh so gently his arms raised her from the ground.
â..This wasnât part of the plan.â His voice shook as tears welled into his eyes. âThis w-wasnât. Part. o-of the..â Voice trailing off as he took a gulp of air, he looked around once more, desperately looking for some kind of sign, some hint of hope. There was none.
And then the tears dropped, pooling onto the waterproof fabric of her cloak and streaming down his face. The forest felt damper without her. Colder. Darker. He wondered if this was going to be his whole life now. Without her. Rakan shook the thought as he began to break out into a run. Somewhere there had to be a town. If he kept running in a straight line, then he would have to meet someone eventually.
âHelp!â He never imagined that he would say that word. âHelp, please!â Or that. âH-help.. someone.â His breath started to heave as he slowed his run to a jog and then to a walk and then to a stop. Breath was struggling. Arms were aching. She was still unconscious.
He mustered what he could and began to chant an incantation, trying his best to remember the words he eavesdropped in outside the tent of the village healers. His eyes closed in concentration.
âfulge, flos, et arde, niteat potestas, tempus retexe, redde mihi spes meas, sana vulnera, mutetur aetas, serva perdita, redde mihi spes meas, mihi spes meas.â
He opened, and all he saw was light: in the trees, in the flowers, and the sky. He breathed in as he could feel the forest filling with the words he spilled out into the air, spelling out with the letters;Â âall is according to plan.â
Xayahâs eyes fluttered open as he took his last breath before exhaustion hit him, his body dropping to the ground. She leapt up and inspected the forest before her, breathing in the fresh air and understanding what he had just done, a smirk and a silent chuckle passing her lips. âDidnât need to tire yourself out so much, sport.â
She smiled in appreciation as she carried him to a more enclosed space within the forest. She gathered wood and tended to a fire to keep him warm, grilling some fish above it. He was going to be unconscious for a few hours, or so. She figured he probably needed something to eat when he woke up.Â
âWhyâre you always wearing that cloak?â Rakan chuckled and extended his wing, allowing it to drape over Malzaharâs shoulder, much like an extra layer of cloak. âYou look cold. Lemme try to help.â
Though his wing enveloped the man, he kept his arms tucked.
