Oktavia Grimsdottir, Icebreaker Harpooner. Infinity miniature I have been slowly working on for the past two months. Decided to do a Goobertown Roulette challenge thingy and rolled her up for it, with the painting conditions being to do yellow and brass/copper. Instead of painting her in the snow-y winter-y setting she was originally meant for, I instead went for a sort of cyberpunk city look. Jury is still up whether I accomplished it, but I am happy with the asphalt base.
Amina Naidu of the M&SU keyword for Malifaux. A surprisingly nice change of pace to paint a mini that looks like a regular person as opposed to some sort of fighter or soldier.
The Ariadna + misc. portion of the haul. Got some Merovingia stuff with the Loup-Garou, Chasseur and old Mirage-5. A Vet. Kazak that aint painted half-bad tbh. Caledonia stuff with an old Mormear, Highlander Grey, Volunteer, Wulver, and Cateran. And lastly a Dozer gal! As for the misc. stuff: got an old Orca that is honestly painted super good and I am definitely gonna be keeping as is, only giving it a proper base. An Aleph Naga hacker, father Lucien Sforza, an Aconcinento Regular, and an old Akalis. Some of these are gonna require some fixing and sculpting with green stuff due to missing limbs, but all in all this is pretty nice. Caledonia stuff alongside Vet. Kazak are gonna find a nice place in my Ariadna collection, while everything else might end up being a fun painting exercise or a future addition to a potential Stargrave crew.
A different kind of post from the regular. I ended up buying a bunch of old Infinity miniatures from a guy at my FLGS, mainly old JSA and Ariadna. Feeling pretty excited about these, since collecting OOP miniatures is becoming a bit of a passion for me and I got a bunch of old N2 miniatures from the haul. Showing off the JSA portion of the haul in this post. From what I understand its miniatures from the old JSA starter back when they were under Yu Jing, except with Kitsune instead of the regular Oniwaban. Plus the guy I bought it from threw in an O-Yoroi for free, although I am gonna need to do some fixing on its legs. And of course stripping all of these. Next post, the Ariadna + misc. portion of the haul.
Painted up one Mr. Howard Langston for the M&SU keyword. I adore the shade of the Talassar Blue contrast paint, which I used over a metallic for the plate on his arm and the cable running from his head. Also I may have gone just a tad bit overboard with the blood on his spider leg-blades.
Soulstone Miners.
Latest miniature painted and the first of 2021. The Captain for Malifaux, to be used with the M&SU keyword. I finally got the bright idea to use the promo piece of paper I got in my SoB box as photo background. I really struggled with the head, and eventually had to concede defeat lest I lose all details under the building layers of paint.
The Cult of December lead by Rasputina. A gang for a little game called Malifaux that I got into during 2020.
I suddenly remembered that I have this blog despite using it almost every other day. Time to share the remaining minis painted during 2020 since I last posted, starting with my JSA for Infinity.
After the Eisei Doctor mini, I decided to go ahead and paint up the Kuroshi Rider simply because I wanted to. There are parts I should touch up like the stripes on the front of the bike, but I think all in all she came out looking pretty good. I am proud of how the road came out especially. I decided to experiment by applying a wash of very thinned out watery Citadel rhinox hide over a base of kislev flesh. I think it came out looking pretty good.
Haven’t been in a miniature painting mood for quite some time, but I seem to have gotten back into the swing of things by working on some Infinity. Painted up a Tokusetsu Eisei Doctor for my JSA force.
Captain Tarkus Vor of the Imperial Fists 5th company ‘Heralds of Truth’ One of the first miniatures I assembled, finally got around to painting him more than a year later. Mildly annoyed at some of the mouldlines I did not take care of way back when. Now all I need to paint is a venerable dreadnought, and I am gonna have the SC! box completely painted.
JSA Kempetai officer.
I forgot to get rid of the mouldline on the grip of his sword because finding mouldlines on metallic miniatures is quite the challenge. Other then that still got a couple other things to touch up in the future should I wish to.
Kinda surprised that people are actually checking this blog out and its getting some attention instead of none, but here. Have some tiny sneks I painted for Warcry as a warm-up for all the painting I have been doing during quarantine.
JSA miniatures painted in my own custom colour scheme.
SM heroes painted as Imperial Fists.
