Josette Parker was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She’s the older twin sister of Malachai Parker, and has two other younger siblings named Lucas Parker and Olivia Parker. Unlike her brother Kai, Jo and her other siblings were never troublesome. They were good kids, and her parents were never concerned about her or the twins. Jo never caused any problems with her friends or family. In fact, she was the one who tended to take care of Luke and Liv whenever her parents weren’t home. Jo had always been a very motherly person by nature, and that was part of the reason why she wanted to become a nurse one day. She’d always loved taking care of other people, making sure that they were healthy and safe. However, when she was young, things with Jo’s twin brother Kai got so bad that he was sent to a mental institution at age fifteen, because their parents saw no other way. After only four months, Kai escaped the mental institution and didn’t go back home. His family was worried for the longest time, but at age sixteen, he suddenly popped up again and killed almost all of his siblings in various and gruesome ways, with the exceptions of Jo, Luke, and Liv. This drew the attention of the coven he was in with his family, and to punish Kai, they decided to banish and trap him inside of a power source that was located inside of a magical cave at the falls in a small town called Mystic Falls. At that time, the power source was dormant and nobody knew it even existed. However, a while ago, the power source awoke, causing unpredictable events to happen in Mystic Falls. With the power source being so unstable and unpredictable, and with Kai still being trapped inside, there was no telling what could happen now that the energy was being released onto the town. His family never stopped feeling guilty deep down, but they all knew that Kai would be a misfit within society, and that he would only cause chaos and wreak havoc on people. This was the best option for him, being trapped somewhere, in an abandoned place where he could cause others no harm, because Kai had already hurt so many people in his life. He was a murderer, right? And his family still isn’t sure to this day if the young man has any redeeming qualities. He might just end up murdering people again if he ever does come out, but Jo has her magic ready if that ever happens.

Jo is working at Whitmore hospital as a nurse. She knows that her twin brother Kai is trapped somewhere, and that Luke and Liv are also out there, but she doesn’t know that they all happen to be in the very same town. What will she do when she finds out that Kai managed to get free? He might go after his twin sister to try and steal her magic, just so he can become stronger.

Olivia Parker (Sister) → The two sisters haven’t seen one another in a long time, but Jo has always been very protective of Liv, and Liv always looked up to her older sister. She was like a mother to her younger sibling.
Lucas Parker (Brother) → Like with Liv, Jo has always been protective over Luke as well, doing anything to keep him and his twin safe. The two do get along a bit better than Jo and Liv do however.
