This is pretty insane but I don't really have friends so this was the only method I had of confessing what happened.

To give you some context, I'm currently working in a senior position at my mother's company. It's honest work because I started at a very low position and worked my way up to this point.

We primarily work with luxury real estate, and oftentimes, legal issues occur between the company and clientele. It gets pretty exhausting to deal with so my mother decided on getting help from a law firm rather than relying on the one lawyer we had.

This was a huge step for our company because it meant we were stepping out of our "small" quarters and branching out to incorporate other firms and businesses.

Anyways, this is precisely where the problem began. The firm sent a group of lawyers to help navigate these issues, and in terms of copyright laws, which is in my department of marketing, someone was ordered to work with me. He's a really good guy, I'll call him A, and what struck me the most was just how good looking he was?!?

I had a really bad staring problem at the beginning of this professional relationship but I soon grew used to him. Things began to change after two months of working together nearly everyday.

He would usually stand at a good distance from me, only talk when I spoke to him and would never join me for lunch. All of a sudden, he was being friendly and somewhat clingy.

I have one coworker who I'm somewhat close with and I visit the finance department just to talk to him sometimes. He comes with me for lunch too. Now, A has been asking me curious questions on my relationship with this coworker.

I had a feeling he was hogging my time with breaks and after-work drinks to make me avoid talking/spending time with this other coworker. Even my mother has begun to suspect something's up so I can't imagine what the others are thinking.

I know you can't answer this but I was wondering what I should do? He's hot, but I'm worried that pursuing a romantic relationship with him will interrupt our work and cause my mother to believe that I'm not fit to take over for her anymore.

I love my sister but sometimes she's a bit much. She's only a year younger than me, and currently we live together in a small apartment in Toronto because we both go to the same college.

She's always been close to me and is my best friend. I don't think I can live without her, but I can live without being constantly next to her. Becoming roommates has been the worst thing ever.

As soon as I entered my 2nd year of college, and she entered her 1st, we moved out of our parent's house and got this place. The problem is that she got the bigger bedroom, with the big closet, more space on the vanity, and my college friends have become her friends. She's basically taken over a huge chunk of my space and life.

I want her to move out, but since I'm graduating and, hopefully, getting a job first, I was thinking I should move out instead. She can handle paying rent on her own because she has a side business as a lash technician.

I might be the one who has to struggle but I'll do that if it means I have a life of my own.

My best friend of 11 years turned out to be the biological father of my 2 year old son. I've been married for 3 years, but I've been friends with this guy for way longer. It's cheesy as hell to say, but we were like platonic soul mates, not in a gay way.

We've known each other since our first year of high school back when we were two geeky kids. I didn't expect him to stick with me for so long, but I guess good things never last.

He introduced me to my current wife since they worked at the same restaurant at the time. She wasn't my type but I trusted him when he introduced us and we only dated for a year before I proposed. There was some pressure from her family for me to marry her, so partially, that was why I got down on one knee.

I didn't have much money, and he graciously helped out with that. We were able to move into a small house on rent, and he helped me with payments for the first three months. I couldn't thank him enough and he was over often to have a beer. My wife and him got along from their days of working together but I never suspected anything.

My wife really wanted a baby after a year of marriage and I felt like it was too soon. We had discussed having kids but, she had agreed to wait a bit before we handled such a big responsibility. I was still hopping from job to job, and she was unemployed, so I couldn't figure out how we could financially afford to have a kid.

She was constantly talking about kids and around this time, which was early June, the old washing machine we had broke. Our landlord told us that we had to pay out of pocket if he was going to hire a repairman so I asked my buddy if he knew someone. Apparently, he had experience with fixing machines and working with plumbing, which I didn't know about.

For about a week, he was basically staying over while he tried to fix the washing machine. I let him because I didn't have the money to afford a guy to fix it quickly. Near the end of June, my wife told me she was pregnant which didn't come as a surprise given that we did have sex.

She gave birth to a son and I didn't feel those strong paternal instincts that I see online all the time. He was a baby and that was it for me, but I did my best to work around the clock to support him and my wife. His 2nd birthday was last month and I went out for a smoke while her family celebrated inside the house.

My buddy came out with me but he was dead silent. He suddenly told me that he needed to get something off his chest, and then told me that he was the father of my 2 year old son. I didn't know what to say and it felt like my ears were ringing loudly.

I only managed to ask how he knew that, and he told me that while I was away at work, he and my wife went to a clinic to have a paternity test done. His results were positive and he was the father. I didn't want to believe him, and after the party I asked my wife.

She broke down in tears and begged me not to divorce her. I know he would not take custody of my son, and he wouldn't take care of her either if we divorced. So, I stayed. It's been a month since I found out, and I haven't spoken to him and things are quiet with my wife and I.

I wrote a long email to an ex-boyfriend of mine from years ago. I'm 32 now, and we were only 16 when we dated. We were together for three years before a friend told me that she had feelings for him and that they had hooked up at a college Halloween party. I hadn't asked him what really happened, I just broke up with him.

He was beautiful, and smart, and he loved deeply. I remember that he cried when I told him I didn't love him anymore. I sent a long email asking questions and talking about a lot of things regarding us, and I sent it to an email I thought he no longer used.

I got a reply after a week. I had no hope for anything, much less a reply. I thought the account was dead, and then I got scared to answer the email. I think I sat with it unread in my inbox for three days? I finally opened it on a random Wednesday, my son was sitting next to me at the dining table working on his homework.

He sounded so sweet, I imagined his husky voice speaking just the way it sounded in high school. I didn't know what 32 year old him looked like, when I searched his name, nothing came up online. He told me that he moved south to Nebraska from our little town in rural British Columbia. The last short paragraph made me stop. He told me he still loved me. That he hadn't married anyone, and that every person he dated reminded him of me.

I was a divorced mom of 3. I had been fired from my job recently. I had gained weight. A lot of it. I was depressed and felt absolutely shit about life. But reading that email made me happy. He still thought of me. I had asked him about the Halloween party to which he promised he had never even attended. I don't know... I felt stupid.

I don't regret where my life went and I certainly don't regret having my kids. But, I want to ask him to come back. Or to let me come to him. I'm still in love with him too. Is that bad? I don't know what to do.

I caused my parent's divorce. My father and mother are very close, the type of lovebirds that have been in that honeymoon phase since forever. I grew up seeing them being affectionate and loving to one another, but in a weird way, it always felt like my father was competing with me for my mother's attention.

I was their only child at the time, and I wouldn't have any other siblings until I turned 8, which is when my 2nd brother was born, soon followed by my younger twin siblings. They were both pretty young when they had me, around 20, so they weren't exactly the most mature or responsible parents.

My father often became a wall between my mother and I. Whenever I had anything to ask her, he would answer instead or ridicule me for not knowing. He would convince me to stay home alone so he could take her on dates, and the worst memory I had was him "forgetting" to pick me up for an entire week while my mom was away on a business trip.

I often wondered if he was actually an evil step-father or something because he and I naturally hated each other. When I turned 14, I had had enough and I started doing terrible things and finding a way to make it look like my father did it. I would hide my mom's stuff, text her friends as my dad and say horrible things. I really turned our household upside down. Mom was tired from working all the time so she got pissed pretty easily, plus dad had a drinking habit when he got depressed from his codependency issues with mom. He would never remember what he did or did not do, so finally, when I was 15, they divorced.

I think he realised it was me about 5 years ago and has since not invited me to anything. My siblings go but never me. Honestly, I could give less of a shit because mom likes me a lot more now. I know he's dying inside because of it.

8 years have passed and I sit at the T.V, the same one from 8 years ago and I allow the ache to clench at my nerves.

It was a sad time to be a child, yet it was the happiest, my happiest, as well.

Who am I now?

The games are brilliant in colour.

The music is nostalgic.

But I have changed.

The games don't feel the same.

Still thinking of buying an electric guitar. It's a weird temptation. Buying an electric guitar haunts me like the mirage of someone I loved but never got to meet. The ache for something I understand conceptually, yet it bears no alteration to my life physically. Is this about electric guitars?
