Introducing a main character from story, Maxwell!

Maxwell Esperit, compared to his best friend Sam, is the polar opposite of her in terms of personality and physique. His appearance may make him seem like the self assured and arrogant pretty-boy type, but deep down he’s somewhat shy and can get anxious quite easily when he’s not tagging along with Sam. He can still put on a face to act the part, though he rather not be bothered interact with other people in the first place.

Maxwell is the brains of the duo, but because of his overcritical nature, he can at times miss even the most obvious of things. However he does keep himself level headed when he’s with Sam, mostly due to the fact that he cares for her and only wants the best for the both of them.

Similar to his best friend’s goals, he also wishes to find his own place in this world. However, prioritizing Sam’s problems and constant mischief, as well as his own internal affairs could bring up conflicts with his new job; and unfortunately Sam herself.

Introducing a main character from story, Sam!

Samantha Medina Perez, aka Sam, is a tough and abrasive young woman straight out of community college. With no long term aspirations, Sam’s only goal is to scrape through the daily grind of city life and figure out exactly who she wants to be.

But in a world of heroes and villains, Sam wants to do nothing more than jump right into the fray and make a name for herself. The only problem is, she has no superpowers. The only pugnacious qualities she has are her built physique and mild knowledge of martial arts.

And although her outward demeanor is less personable than most, Sam still stands by her friends and loved ones even in the most harsh and desperate of times; even though that circle of people is clearly lacking.

Greetings!

We’re making a book, and hopefully a series, called Only A Mask. 

Set in a universe where the superhuman is real, our story follows two childhood friends trying to find their place in this strange and mysterious world. A world they have yet to touch the surface of. This duo goes down a daring path into the dark and violent world of super-villainy!  However, these two rookie henchmen will come to realize that this game of cops and robbers isn't as black and white as it seems. Everything comes at a price, but one thing is for sure, heroes and villains play for keeps.
