Homemade Pizza with cheese crust
What you need for the homemade dough:
100g lukewarm water 1 sachet dried yeast 1 teaspoon sugar 200g flour 2 teaspoons salt 2 tablespoons olive oil 4 string cheese strings (cut in half)
What you need for the topping:
1 1/2 cups tomato sauce or pizza sauce 1 cup (cheddar) cheese 1 onion 1/2 can unsweetened corn 200g frozen spinach (thawed) 1 can tuna 1 1/2 cup shrimps 1 1/2 cup sliced mozzarella
salt pepper oregano
or use whatever you want for your pizza :)
What do do:
1. Mix the LUKEWARM water, the dried yeast and the sugar in a bowl and let it rest for 5 minutes. Add the flour, the salt and the olive oil and knead the dough till you can form a non sticky ball. Let the ball rest for 30 minutes. (covered in a warm place)
2. Put some flour on a plain surface and roll out the dough. It should be 2 or 3 cm bigger than the pan. (you can see it in the picture). Add baking paper. Put the dough in the pan, cut the cheese strings in halves, add two of the halves to each side and wrap it with the overhanging dough.
3. Preheat the oven to 360°F (180°C).
3. Now add the toppings. Start with the tomato sauce, the cheddar cheese and the onions. Afterwards add all the other ingredients and end with the sliced mozzarella.
4. Bake for 25-30 minutes. The pizza is ready, when the crust and the cheese are light brown.
Hint:
If the dough is too sticky add a tablespoon of flour. If it is to dry, then add a tablespoon of water.
