Kovu rolled his eyes, he knew who she was so this all seemed redundant and irrelevant. And if he wasn’t enjoying how much his disregard for her territory act was irritating her he would have just left right then. “And?” he asked simply, raising an unruly brow as he waited for an answer as to why any of that should matter to him.

Kiara pursed her lips together as her anger seemed to rise. She crossed her arms, and glared at Kovu. She wasn't going to say anything, but found she couldn't help herself. "Are you stupid? It means I'm the most important person in this school, and you're being an ass."

Kovu shrugged off her objection, looking down at his claws. “Oh, I was just hunting.” nodding as he looked back to the lighter lion cub. “But then you ruined everything and it got away.” he said with another roll of his eyes.

"Maybe you're just a bad hunter," she mumbled, glaring slightly at the darker cub. As much as she liked having another cub to play with, she found that Kovu was quite rude.

At that point Kovu was pretty much fed up with her back sass, turning on his heel to face her once again. This time there was no trace of the playful smile he’d had before. “I’m sorry if this is news to you but I can stand wherever I like, free country and all that jazz.” quirking a brow though his lips stayed a flat line of irritation. 

At her introduction he tried to stop himself from laughing but a low chuckle managed to escape. What exactly she planned to achieve from telling him her name was completely beyond him. “Kovu Goya,” He replied shortly. “Now, are we done?” both brows raised as he waited to see if she wanted to argue some more.

Kiara growled under her breath. "I wasn't giving you my name as an introduction." Crossing her arms, she tried again to make her point. "I'm Kiara Leona, my dad is the CEO of Leona Industries." He should have known this information when she'd given him her name. "Not to mention, I'm a cheerleader, in charge of the yearbook committee, and I'm on the ballot for prom queen."

"It’s alright. I won’t hurt you." She could tell that the lioness was afraid of her. Though she had no reason to. Belle was usually good with aminals, as they were tame.

Kiara took a tentative step towards the large human. She raised a small brow as she took another small step. Human's were curious creatures.

Mary grinned as the cub started counting. She ran towards a pile of large rocks, and hid in them. She felt pretty hidden, so she waited for Kiara to find her.

Kiara finished counting, and looked around the vicinity. There was no visible sign of the small human cub, but that didn't mean she wasn't around. Kiara turned her head up to the sky slightly, and began sniffing the air. perhaps if she could catch the little girl's scent, she could find her. The unfortunate thing was, Kiara didn't exactly know what Mary smelled like. She hadn't thought about actually smelling her.  

The small lion cub resigned herself to searching with just her eyes. She prowled around on the warm Savannah ground, searching behind bushes, and medium sided rocks. When she still couldn't find the little girl, Kiara climbed up on a pile of large rocks, trying to get a better view of the area. Her shadow fell over the entrance of the rocks where Mary was hiding, but Kiara still had no idea where she was.

"Okay mama.." Kiros complained slightly as he scampered off to follow his mother down to the watering hole. Once he arrived he swatted at the water with his pretend paw (hand) and began to drink from it, with tiny licks.

Kiara bent her head closer to the watering hole, and began to lap at the clear blue liquid. She watch Kiros from the corner of her eye, and smiled. When she'd had her fill of water, she raised her head, and shook it of any excess water. "That was very refreshing."

Kovu watched Kiara out of the corner of his eyes but he still wasn’t at all prepared for her attack. And before he knew it she had him pinned just like before. “Fine, fine, Kiara. There, happy?” he asked with a roll of his emerald hues. “Of course you did, you caught me off guard.” he said as he managed to shove the lighter lion off of him. There was no way he’d admit she pinned him fairly, it just wasn’t like him.

She fell backwards onto her side, when he shoved her away. She rolled her own dark hues when he tried to tell her she'd caught him off guard. "That's a lie!" she exclaimed, but shrugged it off. Getting to her feet once more, Kiara sat on her haunches. "What are you doing here, anyway?"

Scar grinned at the cub, continuing to pace around her, “What? No remarks about how I’ll be tracked down by your oh so amazing parents? What happened to the brave little lion from a moment ago?” Scar taunted Kiara, clearly enjoying himself as he laughed.

"I'm not scared," she snarled, "my father told me not to turn my back on...well...on lions like you." She didn't like his laugh. It was far to maniacal for her liking. Her brows furrowed, as she waited for what he would do next.

Mary smiled, and said, “My turn!” She waited for the cub to start start counting.

Kiara giggled a little, and then laid down on the ground, before placing her paws over her eyes. "One, two, three..." She lifted her paw slightly, to see if the little girl had moved.

That’s when he stopped and turned around, him calm starting to slip. “For what? If anything you should apologize to me.” crossing his arms across his chest. “You ran into me, remember? And who exactly do you think you are?” But before she could answer he turned again, ready to be done with this conversation all together. But for some reason her face stayed in his mind, her hazel eyes lingered in his mind. And no matter what he did they seemed to be seared there.

Kiara narrowed her hazel eyes, and glared intensely at him. "Excuse me?! You were the one who was just standing in the middle of the hallway! A hallway, need I remind you, you shouldn't have been in!" He should have just gotten on the bus with his team. 

When he turned, she didn't move a muscle to stop him. "I'm Kiara Leona," she said, as if offering up her name would make him apologize to her more quickly.

Kovu shook his head and rolled his eyes “I’m too smart for them.” Straightening his posture a bit. “What about you, hows life as daddy’s little girl?” but he continued smiling. He was already convinced Kiara was at least a little bit fun but he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to give her a hard time.

The simple fact that the other cub refused to use her name, sent Kiara into a small rage. She lowered her body, ready to pounce. Before he could do anything to stop her, she lunged at him, "I have a name," she growled out in frustration. The force of her attack, caused both cubs to roll head over tail again, three times, before they came to a stop. Kiara had managed to be on top again. "Ha! Pinned ya again."

Kovu’s smile only grew when she started to get all worked up, holding her phone just out of reach for a moment before letting her snatch it. “Chill, you act like I was stealing it or something.” rolling his eyes at her for making such a big deal, though the smile still teased at his lips. 

They locked eyes for a moment, and Kovu couldn’t help feel like he’d seen her before. Not just cheer leading, which was obviously why she was at school so late, but from sometime before. With a light shake of his head he rid himself of wherever that train of thought might lead him, he didn’t have time to sit and ponder faces from the past. He would save that for the long walk home. 

He brought his attention back to the girl, only to wish he hadn’t. “Don’t like buses, I’d rather walk,” Which is exactly what he started doing, he didn’t feel like talking about the game, or the stupid rivalry. Not after a loss like that. He didn’t even want to think about it. .

Kiara grumbled something under her breath, and couldn't keep her mind from thinking, for all I know, you could have been trying to steal it. She didn't like the fact that he had such a stupid grin on his face. It made him seem - no! she was not going there. 

She raised a brow when he stated that he'd rather walk. "You plan to take the long walk of shame all the way back to Palmcrest, rather than take the short ride back with the other losers?" She wasn't being very nice, she had to admit, but he was a Hunter, and she was a Pirate. They weren't meant to be nice to each other - at least that's what everyone else said.

That's when he started walking away from her. "Oh, no you don't! You do not get to walk away from me without apologizing first."

Kovu grumbled as he moved out from under Kiara, not liking how his plan hadn’t quite worked out the way he’d intended. “The one and only,” he said as he flashed a toothy grin, regaining his usual arrogant exterior. “Surprised to see me, Pride Lander?” he asked as he sat on his haunches and looked down at her. Kiara hadn’t changed much since their last visit, she was maybe a little bigger but the same could be said of him, they where growing cubs after all.

Kiara mimicked Kovu, and sat on her haunches. She glared a the darker cub, "I have a name. You can't just keep calling me Pride Lander." She noticed that he'd grown slightly since their last meeting. "But to be honest, I thought a 'gator would have eaten you by now."

The visitor’s locker room was practically silent as the Hunters reveled in their most recent defeat. This game had been a big deal, the make it or break it of their perfect record. And they’d lost, meaning they where no longer undefeated. The players showered, changed, and headed for the bus, heads hanging low in shame. 

The loss hit Kovu particularly hard, because even when it was too late to make a come back he’d still put his all into the game. Refusing to lose, and yet, they had. Part of him wondered if it was his fault, as ridiculous as it sounded, he’d been saying for weeks they would beat the Pirates so maybe he jinxed it. 

In no mood to be crammed in a bus with the rest of the team, Kovu slung his gym bag over his shoulder and headed down the opposite hall. Though it would likely take him hours, Kovu had settled on walking home. That was when he felt something bump into him. Turning around, Kovu turned his eyes to the girl on the floor. “Woah, don’t blame me.” putting his hands up defensively. “You’re the one who wasn’t watching where you where going.” flashing an amused smile as he bent to pick up her phone for her.

Kiara looked up, and stared into the face of a Hunter. His striking green orbs seemed to hold her attention, but that only lasted until he decided to bend down and pick up her phone. "Don't touch that!" she exclaimed rather loudly, her voice echoing off the walls, and lockers of the empty hallway. "It's not yours." 

She then got to her feet, as elegantly as a cheerleader should, and swiped the cellular device from his hand. Looking up at his face again, she recalled seeing him on the court. "Shouldn't you be on the loser bus?" she asked, a tiny hint of hate lacing her words. The Hunters and the Pirates were rivals. They'd been on such terms for so long, no one even remembered the reason for the rivalry anymore.

Kovu couldn’t help but smirk as he heard a familiar voice from behind the grass. So it had been the little Pride Lander he’d met before that had spoiled his fun, figured. Well, then maybe it was time for a little payback. 

Even sneakier than before Kovu kept close to the ground as he moved closer to where he’d heard the voice, his tiny frame moving easily through the grass. If he was going to scare her he had to be sure she didn’t hear him coming. Finally, when Kovu was sure he was close enough, he pounced. Only it seemed he miscalculated, he had meant to land right in front of her and instead ended up practically tackling the other lion cub.

Kiara's ears folded down against her head when there was no answer. She knew she'd heard growling, but she didn't know where it was coming from. She waited, something she probably shouldn't have done. She could have been giving the other creature plenty of time to sneak up on her.

The small lion cub was in the middle of turning away from the area, ready to go home, when something came flying out of the tall grass. She hadn't been able to get a good look before she found herself screaming, and trying to get away. However, it was useless. Whatever it had been, it tackled her to the ground. 

The two rolled head over tail twice before coming to a stop, Kiara pinning the other creature to the ground. Looking down, she stared into familiar green orbs. "Kovu?" she asked, panting slightly from the scare.
