okay but if there was an IT x Voltron AU would Allura be Bill (because I wanna make the pretty boy have elf ears, sue me) and now he doesn't have just the weight of his little brother's death on his shoulders but an entire SPECIES. like, Georgie died during the war with Zarkon and there's a holographic version of his little brother on the ship (that Bill needs to later destroy because it's corrupted) and Billās kind of trying to cope with the fact that the people he loved and used to know are dead.

I get that Billās the leader, so making him the Black Paladin makes sense, but I want. I want Stan to fall in love with an elf looking thing that has glowing (blue or green idk) markings below his eyes okay??
also, there are only five (5) paladins of Voltron, so obviously not all The Losers can be Paladins and maybe making Beverly the Black Paladin also kind of works because without Bill she's like the only other person I can see taking the role of leader? And her having a bad ass prosthetic arm because she's now Shiro and shit would be so cool. ALSO! IMAGINE EVERYONE THOUGHT SHE WAS A BOY CUZ SHE CUT HER HAIR WHILE IN GALRAN PRISON.
Ben is Hunk, he's sweet and also I think the yellow paladin just fits my boy. Also, imagine Ben being so excited at the overall structure of The Palace Ship thing and asking Bill like 193892 questions about how it works and holds itself.
Pidge is probably Stan, just without the whole āI need to find my brotherā thing. I think I may just give Richie the āI need to find my sisterā thing, except he has an older sister now not a younger one because I can do what I want, yk?
Richie is the Blue Paladin no questions asked, he is literally Lance. Sharpshooter my boy.
Eddie is the Red Paladin, and half-galra??? omg??? idk if I wanna make Eddie the half-galran but also!! lowkey makes sense.
and Mike is Coran, because bro is just an eccentric teenager who was given the responsibility to take care of Prince William, not by anyone in particular, Billās parents are still shit, but Mike was there when Georgie died and knows the little boy would hate to watch his big brother run himself into ruin.
when the d!ckheads fandom only has like one fic on ao3 (that isnāt even ABOUT the characters) so you get the urge to just do everything yourself and make a fic.
and then that urge wins and youāve just spent a good amount of time making a fic.
i have the urge to write a Derry Girls aftg AU. Like, Andrew Neil and Kevin are the girls and Aaron is James. I just think itād be really funny for Aaron to be the wee English fella even though Neil is technically the wee English fella and Aaron and Andrew are both American. I dunno?? Iāve been rewatching the show and I absolutely love it so I might just take the premise of it and add it to aftg? But also I kinda think itād be funny if Kevin had a Derry accent??? Cause I think thatās funny?? Like imagine???
I donāt even know if Iāll write this but itās been on my mind for a while so. yeah.
Some of My Favorite Ways to Describe a Character Whoās Sick
pressing their forehead into something cool or comfortable (this could be an array of things. the table, the floor, someones leather jacket, their water bottle, the countertop)
warm to the touch, or heat radiating from them (could be noticed if someoneās gauging their temperature with their hands, hugging them, or just generally touching them)
leaning into peopleās touch, or just spontaneously leaning on them (like pressing into their hand when someoneās checking their temp, or just, like, literally walking up and laying their head on them from fatigue. bonus points if the character is usually feral and the other is scared to engageā¢ļø)
falling asleep all over the place (at the dinner table, on their homework, in the car, in the bathroom ā just being so exhausted from doing literally nothing)
being overly emotional (crying over things that donāt usually bother them, like their siblings arguing, or their homework, or literally just nothing)
stumbling/careening/staggering into things (the wall, furniture, other people. there is no coordination in feverish brains. running into chairs, hitting the door, falling over the couch, anything and everything)
slurring their words (could be from fatigue or pain. connecting words that shouldnāt be connected, murdering all of their conversations with the excessive use of āmmā and ānnā in place of words) (this is my favorite thing ever)
being overly touchy (basically like a sick kid ā just hold them, please. do that thing where you brush their hair back out of their face, or rub circles on their back, or snuggle them. they wonāt care. bonus points if this is also the feral character and they refuse to believe it afterwards)
being extremely resistant to touch (flinching away when they usually donāt so someone canāt feel the fever, not letting themselves be touched because theyāre so tired they just know theyāll be putty in their hands if they do)
growing aggressive or being extremely rude (itās a defense mechanism ā they feel vulnerable and are afraid of being manipulated or deceived while theyāre ill)
whimpering/whining/groaning (this was in my ācharacters in painā post but itās so good that iām putting it here too. this shite is gold, especially if itās just an involuntary reaction to their symptoms)
having nightmares caused by a fever and/or delirium (crying and murmuring in their sleep, or being awake but completely out of it and convinced theyāre somewhere else)
making themselves as small as possible (curling up into a ball everywhere they lay, hunching over slightly when standing, wrapping their arms around themselves)

sleeping in the bathroom floor because they keep getting sick over and over (bonus if someone finds them all weak and pitiful. bonus bonus if they find them there in the morning only to learn theyāve been there all night)
using their hands/other body parts to clamp over their mouth so nothing can come out (like pulling their knees up to their chest and using that, or like, their arm, yāknow) (~maccreadysbaby who has emetophobia suddenly gets very awkward about this post~) (~yes i have a phobia of puke and still write this happening to my characters, shut up~) (~itās about the hurt/comfort okay~)
sympathy pukers (people who arenāt the sick ones but get nauseous/vomit when they see someone else throw up) (~aka me~) (~okay Iām done now~)
dry heaving (itās gross, but good for making your characters absolutely freaking miserable)
rolling/churning/spinning/cramping/ lurching and all those awesome words that describe what stomachs do when sick (i hate these words with a deep, fiery passion. but theyāre good for writing or whatever)
