I swore I wouldn’t write more love and heartbreak songs. “I thought, ‘Do one, get it out of your system.’ So the first song is, like, ‘Hold me! Don’t let me go! Stay with me!’ But it wasn’t out of my system. I’m obsessed with writing love songs, I always have been. I think that’s why I started writing songs in the first place.

‘I think suddenly you meet someone and just everything make sense. And all the years of stuff that didn’t work out, I feel like that was all then for a reason. And then when you find that person, it’s like “Oh I get stuff now.” It’s been nearly two years now. We met at an awards thing. We were both a little bit bored and we were by the bar. I mean I was by the bar. I speak for myself, he doesn’t drink.  We kind of just bumped into each other. And the rest is history.’
