What is Met Gala?

The Met Gala, formally called the Costume Institute Gala and also known as the Met Ball, is an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City. It marks the grand opening of the Costume Institute's annual fashion exhibit. So, we fashionistas as we happily call ourselves look forward to it and take inspiration from all the fashion looks seen on the celebrities and the incredible designers' creations.

Beauty Book:

After spotting my favorite looks, I realized they all have a similar thread. They're minimal, clean and soft. The Au Natural hair & makeup look is here to stay — it's ever green. The key being, blending. Nothing out there. The contouring is subtle, see that in Blake Lively's picture. The strobing is flawless, refer to the always-glowing Gisele's picture. However, the graphic eyeliner worn by Gigi Hadid paired with a matte nude and a casual bun — is stunning, actually!

Happy Holi

To all those celebrating the colour-rich-Indian festival Holi, hope you had a bright and colorful celebration!

Pamper your skin with some comforting Olive Oil for the intense and stubborn Holi-colour removal.  Steps to remove the holi color:

1. Take three drops of olive oil or Johnson’s Baby Oil and rub on your eyes, on your forehead, on your cheeks, chin, neck, ears…

2. Take a few more drops as this might not be enough to cover all that color 

3. Now take a wet tissue/ wipe  and clean. 

4. If you’ve had lots of fun and have been drowned with permeant color, don’t hesitate to repeat the process. 

5. Once clear of all the color and you feel clean enough, hydrate your face and neck with a face mist or spring water and once dried, apply a mild face oil.
