i'm not one for interior decoration but recently i've been imagining getting a massive print of some shitty 2017-era GAN anime girl to put on my wall. like the portraits in deadeye deepfake simulacrum. have you played it? i can't recommend it enough; i don't even care about the immersive sim mechanics so much, it's just an extremely pretty game, there are some levels in there you look at them and they pierce you through the heart with their beauty cold and austere. and there's also a psychosexual makima-type character so yknow. by the way most of the wall art in the office space in which i work is machine generated but it's all kinda boring. i suppose it's to help us to Feel the AGI
what if the m2 money supply was a single solitary dollar and you had to wait for it to worm its way thru the economy to you before you could use it to buy a can of pop or some such
i can't be bothered to set up a vm or container or whatever the fuck, i just let claude do what it wants on my laptop and hope it doesnt decide to nuke my drive or mass-email my passwords to all my enemies or whatever. which isn't ideal but given my "i'd let claude paperclip me" position i suppose it's only fair. and anyways it's not clear to me if this is any riskier than eg downloading and running without inspection code from the AUR or pypi or uh github. which are all things that i've also been doing

Kant, in 1754, was the first to put forward the view that the rotation of the earth is retarded by tidal friction and that this effect will only reach its conclusion "when its (the earth's) surface will be at relative rest in relation to the moon, i.e. when it will rotate on its axis in the same period that the moon takes to revolve round the earth, and consequently will always turn the same side to the latter."

i should learn lean...
for like a couple hours back in 2023 i got really into the idea that LLMs + tree search + lean were gonna oneshot all of mathematics and i solved a few levels of the lean game in preparation before getting bored

it's surprising and disconcerting to me when everyone on the dash starts talking about the same thing. eg the uh substack puppygirl essay. in today's increasingly fragmented media landscape i expect the people i follow to have disjoint and irreconcilable spheres of interest. but possibly there are selection effects that make things not so
