Direct action and community support! This is the future and now that we want. What a wholesome story. I hope they get a little more security in the future
This was my favorite phase of intuitive eating to discover, but it was the most daunting. “Eat whatever I want? Won’t I just eat ice cream and bread all the time and get fat?” I’ve posted about this before, but I was truly surprised at the wide variety of foods I started craving when I felt like I could eat whatever I wanted. One day, a spinach salad with walnuts and strawberries was exactly what I wanted for lunch. Another day, a big bowl of pasta sounded like it would satisfy me. I crave fruits and vegetables as often as I crave sweets, which really surprised me at first. The amount of ice cream (my favorite food) I serve myself has gotten much smaller because I know I can truly have it anytime I want without having to “earn” it. I’ve gone through phases of experimenting with formerly forbidden foods, things like Hostess snack cakes and Pop Tarts and other treats I used to put off limits. Having given myself permission to finally eat them, they’re really not that special! I don’t crave them anymore when I see them in the supermarket. Sometimes a certain food looks amazing, and it does taste wonderful so I get to enjoy the exact amount that satisfies me. I don’t feel like I have to eat treats as quickly as possible in secret. And if I overeat a certain food and get uncomfortably full, I don’t feel guilty—I’ve just learned how much food is too much for my body and I can adjust next time. It’s a learning process that inspires instead of shames. –Giving yourself true permission to eat anything can be harder when you have a food allergy like lactose or gluten intolerance. Really check in with how your body feels and explore your options. What will make you feel good while helping you not feel deprived? Intuitive eating is a continual process of learning, so give yourself permission to try a variety of things without always being perfect.
My ancestors, watching me dump an entire stick of cinnamon, two cloves, an allspice berry, and a generous grating of nutmeg into my tea, sweetened with white sugar and loaded with cream, while I sit in my clean warm house surrounded by books, 25+ outfits for different occasions, and 6 pairs of shoes, in a building heated so well I have the windows open in mid-autumn:
Our daughter prospers. We are proud of her. She has never labored in a field but knows riches we could not have imagined.
I like this so much better than the idea that our ancestors would be embarrassed or ashamed of us for being “soft” or some crap like that.

This is incredible, everyone read 👍
March's progress hasn't been as much. But I can definitely see my stomach is leaner and tighter.
Heading on into April, I'll be running with my son 1-2 times a week as I'm sharing that with the husband and then a couple of times a week ill be doing an online workout with my friends.
I was really stressing about coming up with something to do, so I think I'm going to just introduce them to the wonderful world of jillian 😂 and keep switching it up like I have been doing with myself.
Got my workout clothes under my regular clothes so I'll be more motivated to get a workout done today 💪👍 I'm so close to getting some ab definition back! Let's do this.
