“Having accidentally tasted the dragon’s blood, Siegfried becomes able to understand the language of the birds which tells him of Brünnhilde, the fair maiden who sleeps on a fire-encircled rock…”

Wooden Cosmetic Spoon in the form of a Dog biting the Tail of a Fish (with lid)
New Kingdom, likely Late 18th-Early 19th Dynasty, c. 1327-1186 B.C.
From Memphis
British Museum. EA5945
▫ In the realm of Ancient Egyptian personal adornment, the cosmetic spoon emerges as a captivating blend of artistry and daily ritual. Far more than a simple vessel, these delicately carved spoons; often depicting figures of swimmers, lotus blossoms, or animals, offered a glimpse into the sophisticated cosmetic practices of the New Kingdom.
Fashioned from fine woods and occasionally inlaid or engraved, the spoons were used for mixing and presenting fragrant oils, unguents, or powdered pigments, integral to the Egyptian beauty regimen. While kohl, the iconic black eye cosmetic, was stored in dedicated jars, the cosmetic spoon played a complementary role, preparing and offering the palette of colours and scents that adorned the living and accompanied the dead into the afterlife.

You are not immune to propaganda generally.
You are also not immune to specific forms of propaganda.
You are especially susceptible to propaganda that says:
"Think of the children!"
I don't care if you don't have kids and never want them, I don't care what form this line takes. I don't care about your political leanings. "But the children!" is designed to tug at your heartstrings. It is the foot in the door.
No matter who you are or what your beliefs, there will be a time when someone will try to use harm to children as a way to convince you of something.
And you are susceptible to it. Small, defenseless humans. It's okay. It's natural. But you might not even realize it's happening.
But don't forget that you're susceptible to "think of the children."
Since there is a wave of anti-birth control propaganda, this is your reminder that the birth coontrol pill was responsible for 30% more women graduating with college degrees between 1970-1990
Also a whole lot of people need it to hold down a job or stay in school regardless of reproductive risk: it offers menstrual control. It can be the difference between debilitating, bedbound periods and normal function. It’s medicine. It’s also very cheap to produce and returns soooo many thousands of dollars to the economy for every dollar it costs, so don’t let anyone make a false financial argument about it.
when you're a kid, you look at the family friend's daughter, who is in her 20s like she's an adult who has it all together, and you tell yourself you want to be just like her. and then you reach your 20s and you realize you're just a teenager with responsibilities and you think "well maybe I'll figure it out in a couple years" but then years pass and you're still a mess and still work at your trashy "temporary" job where you have to fight over work hours and then your younger sibling appeoach their 20s and they somehow already have a decent job and plans for a future without you and you're nowhere near that old friend that you haven't heard from in years.
no? just me?
