Because of Construction in cities, burning of farms and dust from thar desert, there is so much air pollution in India, mostly in Northern parts. If we talk about Delhi, air quality gets in poor condition from the burning of crop stubble by farmers in the neighbouring states of Punjab and Haryana. Road dust contributes about 40 per cent of the pollution.
Air pollution is the biggest health risk in India. The air pollution is so dangerous that among the residents of Delhi, lifespan reduces by almost 6.3 years. Also, because of overpopulation, air pollution is increasing in cities every year. Development in urban India has also resulted in increase in the no. of motor vehicles. In summer season, aravali hills protect delhi from the dust from thar desert, but, we are destroying the arravali hills by illegal mining and construction, if we continue this, soon all the dust will start entering entering Delhi and other parts of North India causing severe air quality. We have to take some action to reduce this air pollution because millions of people are killed due to this air pollution every year.
