You were laid in your bed, again, in the dark. You didnāt know what to do with yourself. The TV in your room was playing some youtube video you had seen a million times before. Something that felt familiar, somehow comforting under your weighted blanket.
You knew you had to get up, it was Monday, your boyfriend would be home from his race soon. His flight was due to get in an hour but you just didnāt have it in you.
You came home from work on Saturday night and just collapsed. You just felt off, you didnāt know what but nothing seemed to excite you at the minute. You didnāt know why you were surprised, this happened every year at the same time.
You felt like shit, nothing was going to chance that. You had never seen anyone for it, felt like your issues were irrelevant compared to everyone elseās problems. Itās not like you were actively in danger or anything. You just feet sad, still, like your life was passing by and everyone was progressing without you.
You heard keys in the door and just sighed. Nothing you could do now, there were still dishes in the sink from when he left for the race on Tuesday, clothes on the floor and a mess in the sitting room.
You heard him calling for you, you barely had the energy to muster up an āin hereā, He found you lying in the dark, lights off and long since dried tear marks, he had seen you like this before, I mean how could he bot have, youāve been living together a while.
āām Sorryā was all you could muster, turning yourself away from the door. Used to being told off for the state of your living space.
āWhy?ā You heard, that gentle voice that always soothed you. You felt the weight of him sliding into bed behind you, bags abandoned at the door. You felt strong arms gliding around your waist and a face burrowing into your neck.
āBecause I havenāt done anything since you left and I havenāt showered since Friday nightā You sigh, shame deep within you. You felt so stupid, you had no reason to be feeling like this your life was as perfect as it could be.
ā(Y/N), This has nothing to do with that.. You know I donāt judge so just let me helpā He uttered, holding firm pressure around your waist. āGo back to sleep, iāll be here and then weāll talkā
