The Rag was an independent newspaper / periodical that was around Austin in the 60s. It had a political agenda. In this 1966 (exact date unknown) photo is George Vizard and his wife Mariann on The University Of Texas Drag in Austin. It wasn't long after George was murdered in a store robbery. This photo is also around the same time Charles Whitman went up to the clock tower and went on a mass murder spree Augist 1st 1966. The UT clock tower is just across the street from where this photo was taken. Curious if it was before or after the Charles Whitman incident?
