10k in Full Metal Zombie [1.04]
My new found love for 10k is overwhelming.
Absolutely my favorite scene of this entire show. Mainly because of Nat Zang, but also partially because I ship these two. Nat and 10k are both goddamn adorable.

OKAY EVERYBODY LISTEN UP I HAVE SOMETHING REALLY IMPORTANT TO SAY.
A couple months ago, Syfy released it’s show “Z Nation.” When I first saw the ads for it, I laughed my ass of. Not only was it a Syfy show (meaning low budget special effects and shitty acting), but I took one look at it and thought: “Well, that’s a rip off of The Walking Dead if I’ve ever seen one.” I mean, come on, one of the show’s main characters is basically Rick Grimes Version 2.0.
The show popped up on my dash probably a total of three times over the course of its first season run. Needless to say, the posts were from one person—one person who finally convinced me to watch the show…and I fell in love.
Obviously, I wasn’t expecting it. I straight up laughed when the show was recommended to me, but one day I was bored, and…well…
Long story short, I want to tell you guys why Z Nation is worth the watch. SERIOUSLY worth the watch.
BAD. ASS. FEMALE. LEADS. One of which is even a woman of color and, let me tell you, she kicks ass. Plus, there’s Addy, AKA not your run-of-the-mill perfectly skinny asskicker. And, of course, there’s Cassandra, yet another lady of color who could cut me in half and I’d thank her.
UNEXPECTED PLOT TWISTS. And when I say unexpected, I don’t mean like “Beth Greene’s *spoiler alert for TWD fans* death plot twists,” but “SLAP YOU ACROSS THE FACE BECAUSE YOU NEVER SAW THAT COMING” plot twists. Genuine moments that mirror reality in a believable manner, but that will also have you sobbing/screaming at your tv screen.
HUMOR. LIKE, REAL HUMOR. Even though I’m a die-hard fan of The Walking Dead, it’s hard, sometimes, not to get a bit upset with the constant sorrow and death. One of the most notable “funny” moments was “spaghetti Tuesday” and, let’s be real, it wasn’t even all that funny. While shows like TWD have a pretty much never-ending undercurrent of darkness, Z Nation will have you laughing more than once with its (sometimes immature) jokes and comical situations.
ATTRACTIVE FELLAS. I know this point is a bit superficial, but for real, you can’t deny that it’s true.
And if you’re sitting there thinking, “Oh, well, I want a zombie show with gore and blood and all that wonderful nonsense,” you won’t be disappointed. I was honestly a bit shocked at first, that so much gore was presented in the show’s first few episodes.
YOU LITERALLY CANNOT GO WRONG WITH THIS SHOW. It has good—wicked good—representation, it will make you laugh and cry, it will shock you, it will make you fall in love with quirky characters and their tragic back stories.
Please, please, please give this show a chance. You can watch the entire series here, and the last couple eps here. (The last link is good for ratings, but it only has the last five episodes up for now.)
