College is often the first time that someone regularly interacts with a diverse crowd. College is often the first time that someone is encouraged to think for themselves instead of blindly trusting their parents.

They're not being indoctrinated to be liberal. They were previously indoctrinated to be conservative and are now being freed from that.

That’s on purpose. The system prioritizes profit over people, creating a norm where human lives are disposable for the sake of economic gain. People are made homeless, or even killed, all for the growth of capital. It treats us as units of labor, commodities to be bought, sold, and discarded. And when you die, that’s more space for them the buy up. The rules are set up to extract as much as possible from each of us, while offering as little in return(not to mention pushing us to believe hyper individualism is superior when it’s killing us and the planet).

We are conditioned into believing that our worth is tied to our productivity, to how much we can work, how much we can give to the system. Or else.
