online discourse will make you think about nothing but what doesnt matter and tire you out. it will make you angry at things that you will forget about in a few years (and most likely even a few months). you will care too much about things that do not matter and not have enough energy left to actually care about your life. you will be constantly exhausted, frustrated, and you will argue about everything even though you don't really care about it because it tricks you into caring about everything because otherwise you will be "problematic".

do not care about it. stop caring about it. you need to make something to eat or drink instead and sit somewhere nowhere near your device- a couch in the living room, a chair in the kitchen, but outside in the sun (when the sun is out) works best. think about the things you enjoy instead and what you enjoy about them. think about the people in your life and the kindnesses they've shown you, down the littlest things. if you have a pet, spend some time with it.

online discourse is useless and meaningless. there is no reason to care about 99% of online discourse. who cares what characters that person ships, who cares what art that person makes visual or written, who cares about that person's sexuality or gender you're not the one in a relationship with them, who cares about what goes on in that person's brain. it's none of your business and you can make yourself (or ask someone else to make you) some food or a drink instead, and block people and filter tags you don't wanna see.
