I hate the military so much bro, they ruined everything, and just kept on ruining things. Glad they died.
I did think Kali was sus for a little, but she made sense. I was actually devastated when she died, she was just another little girl who got taken by terrible people and had her family and childhood taken from her by said people. She deserved so much better!!
Will and Mike talking was so cute, I love when they have moments together. But the "Friends? No, thanks....Bestfriends" from Mike to Will, had me wincing for Will (and Bylers, lmao). He was not only just friend zoned, but secured firmly in the best friend zone, where it's pretty much a "nothing more to it" thing. Yikes. Though honestly, Will looked pretty relived and happy to still be close to Mike, so I'm not really upset about it. As long as he's happy!! Byler is still cute though.
Vickie was pretty...irrelevant? Like, she’s there for a few, and then just completely gone (like freaking Suzie, whatever happened to her?). Love the actress though!! Been a fan of hers since Anne with an E.
El and Kali bringing Max into El's mind (from so far away, mind you) was so freaking cool. I had thought Vecna got her, tbh. I was real nervous.
What was the whole point of the high school and play thing if it wasn't even relevant? Why do we care if Henry knew Joyce, Hopper, and the rest of the adults in high school if it adds absolutely nothing to the story? I would've thought that there was a deeper connection which explained and gave us more insight on why Henry did the things he did to the people he did it too. But none of it mattered...
I seriously thought Steve was going to die. I was so scared when I saw him fall that I was just yelling at my TV. Thank the heavens for Jonathan!! My boy saving my other boy, love to see it.
El throwing Henry around had me so hyped. Like yes, please keep doing it, he deserves it.
Stonathan being more canon than Byler is crazy to me. Little lovebirds. I fw it tho.
AHHHHHH VECNA IS SO PETTY AND EVILLLLL (obvi)!!! How dare he use Hoppers daughter and El's (suicide) plan against him like that!!! Oh, I'm sick.
Hopper shooting the tank had me over here panicking for El, thinking that he actually freaking killed her, but I was also skeptical because yk....it's Vecna and he's a little liar (no matter how much he denies it).
Hoppers whole speech to El about her having such an unfair life and him wanting her to fight to stay alive and finally just live, destroyed me, and the look on Kali's face as he says it because she can relate too. Oh god, these poor babies man. Wished nothing but the best for em.
Little Holly being the leader and saving the kids was perfect. I guess it's just in the Wheeler gene to dominate pretty much every field and take charge (except like Ted), good for them!! <33
Henry actually running was terrifying to me. I hate even just the thought of being chased, and he looked so creepy.
Henry finally being able to enter the cave was awesome and sad to see (while also scary).
Will using his powers!! Yes, love to see it (but his face while doing it was so funny to me that I couldn't help but laugh a little at it, lmao).
Hopper leaving Kali was terrible. I understand him, but omg, I was so scared for Kali. She looked so tiny compared to those men. And the way they just grab and swing her around so carelessly had me heated. I’m glad he went back for her.
I already thought Kali was going to die, but I didn’t think it was going to be via bullet wound. I was so happy when El showed up and killed the one that shot Kali.
El killing all those soldiers in the room was cool asf, especially when she made one of the men shoot themselves, that’s my girl!! <33
I felt so bad for Henry dude. He was just a baby too!! But, he did essentially say that while he was once a victim he decided to continue on with the abuse because he enjoyed it or whatever, so I definitely still hate him.
El stepping up and making her choice to continue on with her plan was so heartbreaking to listen too. Poor Baby and poor Hopper. That’s his baby right there 😭💔
Henry and Will’s whole conversation was fantastic, though, Will’s close ups made me want to laugh a little (idk why, don’t ask). I loved it so much, and wish there were more scenes of those two. It was so interesting and engaging.
The giant spider “mind flayer” creature was awesome dude!! It was so ugly, I loved it!
El coming to save the day (as usual), that’s what i’m talking about!!!!! I lowkey thought she was gonna jump in it’s mouth, but her tearing an opening in it’s chest was even more great. Her face to face with Vecna had me jumping up and down. I was so excited (and incredibly nervous)😫
I definitely thought Nancy was gonna die…glad to see Jonathan and Robin save her.
The whole group teaming up to take the creature down was epic asf. And then Will coming in to save El from Vecna and help her out was so exciting!! I was jumping around even more. Those two deserved to be the ones to get that mess, after everything he put my Wonder twins through😭❤️
I’m sorry, but, Will’s whole physical connection to Vecna/the hivemind is so inconsistent. He can feel when the demos get burnt or ran over, but not when they’re getting shot, stabbed with a glass bottle, or hit with a shovel? or Vecna getting his hand shot in a memory, but not when he literally gets his arm torn off, impelled in the back, or his head chopped off…?? Why is that?
El and Nancy hugging was so stinking cute!! The sister-in-laws hugging it out 🤧❤️
They finally saved all the kids!! Finally, but like, does this mean that the Mind Flayer is still alive because all the kids are just spitting out black particles…
Joyce being the one to chop Vecna’s head off and finally putting an end to him was satisfying. I mean, she was pretty useless this entire episode/season, tbh, but she still delivered!! And all the flashbacks to everything Vecna did and took from these kids/people was heartbreaking. He took so much from each of them, and i’m glad he’s dead.
I can’t believe they survived and won against all these creature and magical beings together just for normal humans to come in and take destroy it. I HATE THE FREAKING MILITARY!!! KILL THEM AND ESPECIALLY THAT STUPID WOMAN!!!!
I’m not even a Mileven shipper, I just really don’t ship it or like it like that, but the Mileven moment had me in tears. Their whole conversation and Mike being like “please don’t leave me, El” AHHHH SOMEBODY KILL ME INSTEAD, I CANNOT HANDLE THIS!! My babiessssss!!! It was so cute and sad and nauseating and devastating and just everything!! 😭😭💔💔
The whole party screaming for El as she stands there waiting for her death completely shattered me. It was so sad. My girl deserved better than that. She deserved to live life, hang with friends, get married, have kids, and grow old. It’s all so unfair bro (but I lowkey knew she wasn't gonna make it bc weren't they originally gonna kill her way back in like season 1? so I already had that in mind anyways)😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
The time skip was good. I loved how they all looked and where they all ended. But uh, all the (relation) ships pretty much sunk…well, at least Lumax is thriving!!! 😚❤️
Joyce and Hopper!!! THEY’RE ENGAGED!! YAAAAAAAS!! 😫❤️❤️❤️
The last DnD game the party does was so cute and fun. And Mikes theories about how each of them, including El, end up was so incredible and sad. Had me in tears again. And then in a lot more tears when they started putting their books and everything away.
El’s ending seems to be pretty ambiguous, so maybe she could be alive or maybe not, who knows. I want to imagine she is, but I feel like that’s just so freaking lonely. Her ending sucks either way because even if she was alive she really wouldn’t be able to see her people ever again, she’s just forever alone and in solitude. Oh, my sweet girl. Life really is unfair 😭💔
I loved that it ended with the next generation/group of kids coming down stairs and playing DnD. It made my heart ache but also swell with happiness.
All in all, while the final had some issues and things I thought could’ve been done better, I still really loved it! I think it was done pretty good, and enjoyed watching it. It made me cry so much, but it also made me happy. I remember watching this show as a little girl, and now i’m in my 20s. I grew up with the crew, so to see it finally end is really heart shattering, yet comforting in a way. I will forever miss this, the characters, the friendship, the family, and all the different range of emotions it brought up. It will be engraved in my heart, always ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
