I dipped my toes in the Mississippi and came to the sad realization that part of my mental illness means that unless if I purposefully set out and inject myself with feelings and emotions through external stimulus I will remain apathetic and empty and numb. I need charges to feel anything. That is pretty depressing but in order to cope I need to adjust to the circumstances... so music/writing/drawing/photography needs not to become hobbies but habits otherwise I will not exist...at least not in a tangible real way.
