Dominion Tank Police (ドミニオン) I… Actually can’t find any information on who sang this intro. The one listed on MAL and ANN are both for a different song. Studio - Agent 21 1988

Ah. I started posting about how I’m struggling to find information but I think I just found out what the problem is.

Apparently there IS a Japanese intro to the OVA and THAT is the original intro that uses “Cherry Moon” as the song.

I was confused because I watched Tank Police on VHS back in the day and the first video is the intro to the dubbed version. I also watch a youtuber that covers old anime, however he also only watches the dub and talked about this intro.

It seems the company that originally dubbed Tank Police in the 80s wrote an entirely new song for the intro (something you saw more for TV series and not really for OVA) so I just assumed it was the original intro.

So yeah, the first video is the version used for the dub.

Unfortunately, a lot of information on dubs of anime (in MANY languages) is not considered valuable information, so a lot of details on who sang which intros is completely forgotten info. (Whang! Did an entire video on the Italian dub intro for Urusei Yatsura which is considered an internet mystery as to who sang in and it took about 20 years of internet sleuthing to get ANY information on it although we’re still not a 100% sure)

So it seems unless I do some REALLY in-depth digging, I’m not going to be able to tell who did the 80s dub intro for this one.
