About?

Hello! I'm Mike, an engineer/artist (and studying game design?) from Portugal who draws mostly fanart of ace attorney. I love fanfiction and I'm also a fan of detroit become human, zero escape, jojo, fnaf and indie visual novels.

I'm deeply inspired by angst, dark, bad endings, hurt/comfort, whump.

-> My favorite Ace Attorney games are Apollo Justice and Dual Destinies.

-> As for pairings, I'm really into Justquill (with an aromantic flair if we want to get specific) and recently Hankcon in DBH.

-> I'm all for fandom events: big bangs, ship weeks, gift exchanges, and zines. I've also participated in game jams!

-> I'm deeply passionate about people's creations, be it drawings, writing (bless you, fic authors, you give me life), games, AUs and so on. I hope that by drawing for them I can express my appreciation, because Words Are Complicated.

-> Online presence for me is really weird and making posts feels unreasonably daunting. I'm not a fan of social media in general, so this blog is the only place where I exist, besides ao3 (discord too, if that counts).

-> I lied, I've also got @oppleganger-reblogs to avoid clogging this one.

-> My soup has the following ingredients: autistic, transmasc, aromantic, men-enjoyer and poly.

Would you ever consider drawing Simon with a broken nose? I headcanon that his nose was broken during a prison fight mostly just because I think he’d look hot with a broken nose

Here, take my first attempt at Bronco-ing. Your version of him is more canon to me than canon itself, so I admittedly used your art as reference to shape him. I'm a particular fan of your Bronco x Simon x Simeon depictions. I need them to fight and threaten each other in a hostile environment.

Calling all Simon appreciators to check out the Simon Blackquill Investigations zine! I illustrated a page for it (Taka included!!!)

@legayllyblonde did a jaw-dropping (jumping, screaming and squealing) job on the layout. Euphoria-inducing levels of good.

My piece for the In Defense of My Heart zine (@indefensezine)

The name of the ending is inspired by the line that plays after Apollo tries to use Perceive in front of Blackquill for the first time:

"Taka simply loathes trickery and fraud. And that queer power of yours seems to have offended my dear, bosom buzzard."

In this zine, defense attorneys are turned into protagonists of a dating sim. Blackquill is one of the love interests. Here, Apollo took his route and reached a Bad Ending.

This ending was triggered by Apollo's too many uses of Perceive on Blackquill. Not only do Blackquill (and Taka) disapprove of that ability, but repeatedly attempting to yank the truth out of someone who doesn't take kindly to being pried open... it does show your distrust.

Blackquill loses his composure and Taka follows. At that point, Apollo has depleted all his chances of winning Blackquill's affection, as indicated by the heart meter UI; the slice effect when the hearts shatter is meant to reference Blackquill's… katana?- his finger slice animation.

The background is a simplified version of the the background effect of Perceive.

So far, this has been my favorite art piece ever. I quite literally got to mash all my favorite things together: visual novels, bad endings, Apollo and Blackquill as a pair. This zine challenged me to illustrate a game concept out of a dream and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. All elements of the composition came naturally together—I could talk about every decision all day. I'm immensely grateful for the opportunity- once again, thank you for having me on this project!
