Oh, a regular charmer this one. Lord Marius certainly had an appeal about him. Much more than any other lord who has slobbered over her hand lately. They are dull. The familiar sort of men who require a pretty wife to spread legs and pop out a bundle of children. Most are unaware of his upbringing. Only those who pay attention as Kassandra is want to do. Or perhaps those who come close enough to his exuberant flame. There is a fire in the young lord. One that entices her enough to return. "I am sure I will come back no matter what you serve." Lady Kassandra made her intentions quite clear. "After all, a young man with such prowess in cooking must have very good hands."

She laughed slightly at the look on her lady in waiting's face. The girl always comes along. A chaperone of sorts as her guards hover dangerously. The other girl is used to Kassandra's nature by now. Even so she has the look of a scandalized prune. How unremarkable those traditionalists are. They should embrace yearning more than their septs. "Do you not hear?" she asked of her two guards. "Lord Northall offers the best to fill your stomachs."

"We are on duty, My Lady." The taller man answered. He stood straighter due to his lanky building. Straight as an arrow. "Our orders are to keep you safe. We eat in the barracks later."

She sighed, waving her hand to dismiss them. "Of course. The natural order of things. I, however, have no interest in order. I accept your special offering. We dine here. And I may speak to you once you end your daily work, My Lord." With that she took her seat, smoothing out the long skirt of her pale blue dress.

Oh, she was quite the tease for sure. Marius would just have to give her just what she wants. And why not? He made good money for himself and his mother, he could afford time to relax. In fact, he earned it. He deserved a good time with a beautiful lady.

Marius chuckled, bowing his head as she sat, "I shall not keep you waiting, aκριβή μου(my precious one)," he kept his smile, leaning a bit closer to speak lower to her, "But please, you can drop the formalities. It is among a number of things we won't be needing tonight."

He may not have necessarily been hiding, but he certainly didn't want the attention that came from people finding out about nobility living among the common folks. They moved to the capital several years back after their name had been recognized in a smaller town. Marius was afraid things could be dangerous for them if they remained, so he figured a place as busy as the capital would be easier to hide in.

"A roast duck can easily feed you all," he straightened, his eyes moving over her guards and her lady in waiting, "I am sure you will change your minds once you smell it." He looked to Kassandra once more and winked at her, "I'll be right back, darling."

With that, he turned back for the kitchen, waving to patrons as they were leaving before tucking behind the door-- which was already cracked with the pair waiting for him waiting him closely.

Marius just laughed, moving past them, "What?"

The first straightened up, jabbing a finger in his direction "How the 'ell do you do that???" He questioned, truly bewildered, "She's practically already sprawled out for you."

"I swear it seemed like you've known her for years," the second shook his head.

Marius just shrugged, moving to the fire to prepare the duck for his table, "She's a dear friend. One who definitely doesn't pry into business that isn't hers," whether that was true or not, the line was pointed at them. Even with his cheerful demeanor, it was still a warning. He wasn't going to kiss and tell, that wasn't fair to a lady like Kassandra. Unless, she wanted that of course.

Call the station like it's so easy to do that? Maybe for other people. Jo didn't say a word though. She isn't gonna make this worse for Mrs. Ishida. Her hand settled on the wheelchair bound woman's shoulder. Briefest touch to catch but it meant something. It meant that Jolene Taylor isn't cold hearted. Just skittish of law and whatever Hana's gotten herself into.

Jo followed them to the door. Watching to make sure both cops got through there, she pushed it shut immediately. Her hand snatched up at the chain, sliding it and throwing the deadbolt after. Her back pressed against the door for several beats. She took a deep breath before heading back to the living room. Her steps slowed, Hana's mom crying into her hand. Jo stepped over, crouching down to lay a hand over her arm. "Don't cry, Ms Maggie. They'll find Hana. I'll look too."

Outside gave Colby enough time to mentally go over what little information they gained. No fault of the mother. He knew how this looked. Complications tend to make an investigation far more long winded than necessary. It's not his first rodeo. Neither will it be final in a city like this. What concerned him right now was Chelsea.

"You okay?' The detective checked in on her. As a full time partner, Miller had a lot of potential. As a beat officer she's more adept at following a pattern, personable when it comes to people. "I know it's not ideal." He didn't push. That is not his speed. He merely let her have a minute as is her right.

For now he turned look back towards the house. Before his gaze shifted down the neighborhood street. Mundane and safe. Where has he seen this picture before? "That girl? You did good with her. Made her think." Police work is one thing. Knowing how to speak to people is another. "Looks like we're going to back to school." He pulled his phone from his pocket. Thumbing over the screen, Colby typed out a quick message to Jade: Gonna be late. Tell me about your scene tonight when I get there.

Chelsea just stood there with her eyes closed for a moment, her breathing slow and even. The weight of the possibility that they might not find Hana or that they may only find her body or, God forbid, a piece of her, was a lot to take in. But, she waded through the feelings, keeping them calm so she could focus. She needed to keep that focus.

She opened her eyes and turned her head to smile at Colby, "Oh yeah, I'm--" she cleared her throat as her voice crack gave her away, "I'm okay, thank you."

Her smile widened a bit at his compliment, a slight flush to her cheeks as she shrugged, "I really appreciate that, thank you, Detective," she turned to face him fully, crossing her arms over her torso, "I think the younger woman, Jolene-- I think she knows more than she's letting on. But... There's no point pushing. I just hope there'll be someone else willing to talk at the school."

It was a hopeful thought, but it wasn't the most likely outcome. The most they could hope for was at least someone having seen her in the last week or two.

This stranger sure took him for a ride. Getting him so wasted out of his mind he sleeps in and nearly misses important interviews. For a woman who's been around modelling and now in her current career, Dawn's aware of leeches. They latch on at the teet and suck a person dry. In this case they'd be latching onto Marius' dick. Same principle. Whoever it is happens to be on Dawn's light shit list. She has tiers to this. The higher you are the worse it's gonna be...for them not her.

At the prospect of getting out of this heat and free food? Never say she's not easy to please. She slunk over to him like a cat, curling an arm around his shoulders. Giving him a nudge filled with affection, Dawn could have pinched his cheeks for that offer. "You're so brother material. You know that, Mari?"

Closest thing she has to it. Honestly Dawn's actual brother was a snooty blowhard who absolutely hated her lifestyle. And she doesn't mean the career version. "If you're offering? I'm all about that Greek food. Plus, your mom's nice. I like her. She's a cougar. Probably could get anybody she wanted."

There's the teasing. The 'you're so gonna be sorry for letting me into your house' smirk popping right up. "I can force feed Danny. He'll probably refuse if I tell him where I got them. Cause he's a drama queen. I swear he acts extra assholey to you because he likes you so much." Dawn drug Marius up towards his house, keeping him steady as she did.

Brother material. The water works were threatening to expose him once more, but that was just sincerely the nicest thing he'd been told in a while. He just smiled that bright smile at her, the glisten of his eyes almost giving him away, "Y'know, I've always wondered what it was like to have a kick ass big sister," he laughed, his arm going around her to hold himself up better.

With his phone back in his pocket, Marius dug for his keys to open the door. Thankfully, they were still there as well. Still smiling, he gave Dawn a look, "Please, I do not want to think about my mum with anyone. That's just - " he shook his head and just laughed, "No thanks."

Once they reached the door, he stood up straight and let go of her so he could open the door, shaking his head, "Really, Dawn, 'like' is a pretty strong word, don't you think?" He managed to isolate the house key without much issue and unlocked the door, pushing it open and turning back to Dawn, "He tolerates me. Which, I will say I'm grateful for. Making him angry really brightens my day." He chuckled, moving through the doorway, leaning on his hand on the wall.

The house was mostly quiet, except for the muffled sound of a radio coming from further in. Marius knew his mother well, she was likely in the kitchen making lunch or simply just waiting for him to come in. For the moment, she hadn't heard them enter.

A thoughtful hum answered Simon's greeting, lips warm against his cheek even after the following distance between them. Momentarily of course. He closed the front door, turning over the lock. The action itself spoke volumes. Sign of the times in many ways. For Corvus it is a changing of the guard. Allowing presence into his sanctuary is a fundamental alteration of his world. He is private. Beyond the definition of the word.

There comes isolation and a reclusive aura to a man called eccentric in tabloids. What little they can gain of him they spread as a disease they have no cure for. Hollywood is a petri dish. All manner of rumor, fabricated and degradable have spewed out without reason. He is no stranger to assumption. However, this with Simon is not part of their suppositions.

Corvus allows Simon in because he wants him here. That is the difference. That is how he shows his care. Difficult as it may be. Even now this is far removed from the director's usual habits. Cohabitation has never been on his mind. Until now but current matters are at hand.

Simon is not only a fresh face in this production. There is the matter of Corvus' handling of severing ties with his longstanding 'affiliation.' He admired his talent. Whether the man himself knew he possessed raw talent is another conundrum. "You are never intruding," the producer corrected his thought. "I do not let many people here. In the villa. Nor do I become close to many. There are exceptions and ones that matter a great to me." He moved across the foyer, leaning in closer to speak, settling a hand against Simon's neck. The subtle shift of a thumb drug along his skin.

"You are perceptive," Corvus' voice dropped, lower and tinged with a hint of amusement. A rarity in itself. "There is something I wish to discuss with you tonight. To be clear it has nothing to do with wanting you away. In fact, the reason I must discuss this is because I wish to keep you, Simon. Close and safe. In this world we live it is vital." Fame is a fickle thing but that is not all he speaks. "Come. I have my personal chef already making dinner for us. For now a drink is in order."

The low hum of Corvus' voice was like the sweetest lullaby, following a gentle touch that really gave Simon more silent reassurance than even he realized himself. To be there with him, to be so wanted, how could he resist? He simply lost himself in that touch, for just a brief moment.

Simon was always the type to get too attached too quickly, something he'd come to control over the years. He just found there were a lot of people who just didn't respond well to what seemed to them as being clingy. But, he was just very loving. He didn't have much in his life, so he chose to embrace any good that he could. And being with Corvus, he could tell that he wasn't alone on that anymore. Maybe it was just because they were in the same boat in a lot of ways. Or... Maybe it was just true.

"I'll remember that next time," Simon hummed, leaning into that touch as he shifted closer. The change in tone made him feel a bit more concerned than he already had. Sure, it was relieving to know it wasn't about them, but then... What was it? What had Corvus looking so serious?

Simon reached to cup his hands around Corvus's head. He let the words hang between them for a moment. I want to keep you. Close and safe. His eyes softened, searching those dark ones for any kind of lie or jest, though he knew there would be none. It was a lot to believe, even though every day that passed he could believe it a little more. It just felt almost too good to be true. Instead, he just smiled, stretching up to meet his lips in a kiss. Gentle at first, but lingering with that impatience that always comes from their time apart. How Simon wished he could just walk over and touch him, kiss him, any time he liked. But, boundaries had to be kept, and it was better for them both this way.

"A drink sounds nice," he hummed, parting from him while keeping just a breath away, "What have you planned for dinner tonight?"

Jo watched the exchange silently. Unable to argue or interrupt now that Ms Maggie is spilling details about Hana, she retreated from her previous attitude. There's a stifling sort of feeling constricting the air in this house. The absence of Hana felt weirdly real now that they're sitting there talking to her mother. She tried not to show much emotion but it's burning right behind her eyes. She avoided the female cop's gaze.

"Los Angeles City College," Mrs Ishida answered, wringing hands in her lap. She sat stiffly in her chair. Suddenly constricted in the compact space of her life's disability aide. "She's studying philosphy. She has friends. Hana is... a good girl. She wouldn't leave without telling me."

Jo shifted uncomfortably. The pleading in Maggie's voice made her feel sick to her stomach. "...Hana's no runaway." The blond blurted out.

"What makes you say that?" Colby latched onto the statement. While he was more than willing to let Chelsea lead, the detective's interested in the girl's change of tune. A reality check might be an easy answer here. "Do you know Hana well?" She's here at the house. Assuming a family friend or someone who looks after the mother is part of his process of elimination. It made sense in the grand scheme of things.

Jo rolled eyes at him. She didn't want to talk to him really. Her attention moved to the woman beside him. "I know Hana. I go to the same college. I know she ain't a person to run off. That's all I'm saying."

Colby turned his head to Chelsea. A subtle nod of his head confirmed the little bit of information they were given. He noted her writing it all down. Good. They have something. "Mrs. Ishida, I assure you we will look into this. Make sure your daughter is located." Looks like another trip for them. The college.

Any little lead is still a lead at the end of the day. They knew now where she should be spending most of her days, so they should be able to figure some more things there. The comment about Hana not being a runaway... Was it just denial? Did she know something she didn't want to tell them? Maybe it implicated her as well, like she snuck off with an older man or something. At this point, anything was possible.

"Thank you," Chelsea nodded, looking from Jo to Maggie once more as she stepped back beside Colby, "Any little bit of information helps to track her down. And I promise, once we know something, so will you."

It was a small gesture, but not something that she couldn't fully commit to. After all, there was likely going to be barriers and things that keep them from fully releasing whatever it is they find, but the family is always the first to know. Chelsea just hoped it was good news. Foolishly, maybe, especially in this line of work. But, someone had to be positive.

"If there is anything else that you can recall," she directed the question to Jo, hoping to loosen her lips a little bit, "please don't hesitate to call the station."

With that, she nodded her thanks and farewell as she stepped back to the door first, slipping her cap back on. She needed a moment to breathe after that. Emotions run high in these sort of cases, but this one was getting to her a bit more than usual.
