not  comprehensive,  but  hopefully  u  like  .  Get  the  vibe

my  ock  is  not  raimi’s  ock  is  not  marvel’s  ock.  it  is  my  own  portrayal.  if  you  want  a  more  raimi-centric  /  marvel-centric  ock,  i’m  sure  i  can  recc  u  some  !!  there  are  some  fab  ock  rpers  here  :)

my  ock  is  heavily  more  og-comics-&-headcanon  based  .  .  .  more  than  i  think  i  originally  thought  ?  it’s  i  think  what’s  been  making  me  uncomfy  here  -  i  wasn’t  entirely  sure  on  how  to  word  that,  especially  considering  how,  like,  In  the  cultural  zeitgeist  alfmo’s  portrayal  is

what  does  this  mean  for  my  portrayal  ?  ock  is  far  more  self-serving  &  self-interested  than  the  film/s  make  him  out  to  be.

he’s  short-statured,  short-sighted,  &  short-tempered,  especially  when  provoked  by  spider-man

he  suffers  from  tunnel  vision  a  lot,  weirdly  focusing  on  the  small  details  in  order  to  fulfil  the  bigger  picture.  this  means  that,  like,  he  can  get  so  engrossed  in  the  idea  of  something  &  what  it  could  mean  that  he  won’t  acknowledge  the  damage  it  might  do,  even  to  him  (  see  :  the  tentacles.  do  i  rly  have  to  spell  that  out  ??  )

whilst  i  might  joke  around  about  him  being  “  dad-shaped  ”  &  “  he’s  my  dad  !  boogie  woogie  woogie  ”,  ock  is  uh  ,  not  a  good  person,  really.  yes  there  are  times  when  he’s  a  sympathetic  villain,  but  he’s  also  just  kind  of  selfish,  too  yk  ?  sometimes  maybe  it  isn’t  always  his  fault  seeing  as  the  inhibitor  chip  kinda  fucked  him  up,  but  a  lot  of  the  time  he  makes  the  choices  he  makes.  he’s  still  not  a  great  person

he  had  a  traumatic  &  incredibly  abusive  childhood,  which  caused  him  to  pull  away  from  other  people.  even  before  his  life  of  villainy,  otto  wasn’t  exactly  what  you  would  call  a  people  person.

depending  on  their  dynamic,  which  i’m  open  to  having  multiple  variations  of,  peter  parker’s  cool.  fuck  spider-man  tho  that  arachnid  can  choke

ock  is  actually  a  good  mentor  .  .  .  as  long  as,  like,  ur  focused  &  engaged  &  ready  to  put  in  hard  work  bc  he  doesn’t  have  time  to  hold  ur  hand  thru  science  things  yk  ?

he  thinks  norman  osborn  can  choke  too,  actually.  most  of  the  time

rosie  does  not  exist  in  any  way,  shape,  or  form.  he  has  been  engaged  before,  but  never  married.  (  hey  aunt  mays  where  u  @  ).  hes  always  been  married  to  science  tbh  .  plus  his  mum  was  weird  &  overly-protective  &  it’s  always  been  a  little  messy  in  that  regard

ummmmmmmm  there’s  def  gonna  be  like  ,  cheesiness  in  here probably  in  terms  of  dialogue  &  stuff  because  of  the  heavy  comic  inspo  ????  yeah .  idk

i  take  inspo  from  his  portayal  in  the  spider-man  :  insomniac  game,  too

raimi-redemption  arc  isn’t  like,  Off  The  Bat  present  in  my  portrayal  but  im  also  not  writing  it  off  entirely  ,

there’s  no  specific  comic  or  run  i  am  using  ;  it’s  just  a mish-mash  of  things  i’ve  picked  up  over  various  reads.  i’m  terrible  at  remembering  certain  runs  &  stuff  anyway  so  it’s  just  all  one  big  melting  pot
