Life leaned against the bus stop wall, searching for the vape in his rolling luggage bag.
Death leaned over him, his own cancer filled cigarette between his lips. Life rolled his eyes.
"Could you not smoke right beside me?"
"Oh, soooorry that my cigarette isn't cherry flavored."
"Oh shut up, grim douche."
Death adjusted the duffle bag that was slung over his shoulder and walked to the other side of the bus stop, discarding the cigarette.
Life eventually gave up, standing and flattening out his pastel pink skirt, and adjusting his baby blue fishnet leggings and matching gloves. Death piped up.
"Yeah, go ahead and prepare for your little domino effect."
Death walked out onto the empty paved road on the edge of the city and looked around. He then pulled the nail from his pocket and the simple kid's Elmers glue as well. He glued the nail to the road, and walked back to Life. The other man stretched and Death couldn't help but glance down at Life's happy trail. Life yawned and then leaned back against the bus stop.
"Did you glue that nail? If the police come to check out the crash after it happens won't they see that nail glued to the road?"
"No, I used watered down glue. Won't keep it stuck to the road. And it'll leave less of a trace. Of course though, didn't expect you to realize that."
Life grumbled and looked away from Death. Death didn't care though.
"Okay, well, anyway. The bus is gunna show up in a few minutes. Where do we need to get off at?"
Life didn't look back at Death. Death blinked slowly before it clicked what Life was waiting for.
"Oh, do you want something? Would a little bribery help? You cute Brat. I'll buy you some Pocky later."
"Birth rates have been down in an area nearby. Few stops that-a-way. We should get off maybe.. few towns over?"
The bus lights approached from the distance and as they neared, Death and Life held their bags closer, stepping close to the curb.
As they waited for the bus to come to a stop, Death leaned close to Life, lips beside his ear.
"Maybe we could stop at a hotel too..."
Death's cold hand slid under Life's shirt, squeezing his side hard, making Life shiver.
"Get your bony hands off me."
Life shot a sharp glare at Death, which earned him a chuckle and another squeeze to the side.
Death stood behind him, nipping the side of Life's neck and pressing into his rear. Life then elbowed him in the stomach, just as the bus stopped. The doors opened and the bus driver, who had not seen what just happened, gave them both a weird look. Life sauntered onto the bus, leaving behind Death who was clutching his own stomach in annoyance.
Death got on a moment later and sat beside Life.
"Didn't have to elbow me.."
He grumbled, and Life only chuckled in return.
"Didn't have to harass me either, did you?"
