A nation’s citizens arming themselves is the manifestation of the fear in a society.

Fear on the X-axis, armed citizens on the Y-axis. Positive relationship.

Pretty cool how the abstract idea of fear can literally be seen through that trend.

Cool, but also sad because that’s what’s happening in the US.

It’s “me against the world”

Instead of “me with the world” 

or better yet, “me for the world”

I don’t really even have an opinion on gun control btw, I’m just reflecting on the fact that humans are currently desiring machines built for killing other humans more than ever in the US. Not commenting on the actually usage of the guns or anything like that. I’m just talking about the overall desire to have killing machines, and how unfortunate it is that there is one.
