Have your favorite ships or tropes changed at all lately? Also what is an idea you’ve had but not yet written ?
Nope! If anything, it's all the more painfully obvious as time goes on what ship dynamics I find compelling. For example, I recently read a book that had a whole selection of very tropy pairings and it wasn't until I was a third of the way through that I thought about how my favorite one was the handsome slightly depressed heroic soldier denying themselves the pleasure of love for backstory reasons with the strong and super-accomplished leader who is somehow never enough to be loved. Tragically there was only one bed. But the other person couldn't possibly love them back. It was all very silly and I snorted it like pixy stix.
As for ideas, @btheleaf shared this prompt with me the other day and and it's been circling my brain like a shark ever since. My goal is to write it for my annual crack birthday fic next week.
