Irl mozart actually rarely wore a wig and was really proud of his beautiful blonde hair. He usually just wore it in a ponytail.
Tom hulce would've looked so cute like that but then him and salieri would've been twinning teehee
Hello it's almost 2 am and j drew this in a haze
What was a challenge [in playing Mozart] was that Mozart was a person who'd actually lived and was indeed one of the greatest artistic geniuses of the whole Western civilization, and I was a great lover and admirer of Mozart's music, so there was a tremendous challenge to bridge the character that Peter Shaffer had written. Peter Shaffer knows all about Mozart so that Mozart was sort of a smutty, hysterical child, really, in a lot of the play. My job was to reconcile that with the fact that he wrote The Marriage of Figaro, and that was tremendously hard.
— Simon Callow, interviewed for American English File 4
my amadeus debut. Coming out as a yaoi truther. watched the movie cuz i know its an amazing film and i love the 18th century but my little fujo brain decided to focus entirely on the toxic yaoi. dont fight me! this is just what happens when you hook a fujoshi to this movie! c'est naturel!

When you search "is salieri __" on Google some of the suggestions are like "is salieri real" or "is salieri a real composer". Who is out here thinking that salieri was an oc made up to beef with mozart😭
Love how salieris golden coat wass actually golden at the national theater... especially when compared to mr canary over here on broadway
Stripper… stripper salieri sketches…
His love may be gone but God will never leave him.
French child: I want The Black Parade!
French mother: we have The Black Parade at home
The Black Parade at home:
i think it's funny when a character is almost exclusively referred to by their last name by other people and this carries over into their internal monologue when someone writes from their pov. not even on a first name basis with herself
when his wig is messy with flyaways and half slid off his bigass head bc he's been giving u all he's got until his entire body is shining with sweat but he still tries to push it (the wig) back into place with a shaking hand, as if that'll make him as presentable and court-ready as he was 30 mins ago, and u lowk just have to laugh, which you know he hates, which makes him go harder, which makes you shut tf up pretty quickly
I've been sitting on this "gold in the shadows" idea for quite a while, but I just couldn't find the right person to make it work.
Then, out of nowhere, I remembered the wonderful Michele Loconte.
My God... he's absolutely PERFECT for these golden patterns across the skin! I'm genuinely so excited just thinking about it.
I specifically wanted to paint Michele himself, not his Mozart persona. That version of him has a different mood, at least to me.
Damn... I'm so happy this brought all those memories back. Mozart, l'Opéra Rock, musicals, Loconte... Those were such wonderful days.
