Brand new intro post cause a LOT has changed around here…

I’m deep-down-in-drowsy-town! You can call me Wizard. I was once a Starkid blog, hence the name, but the endless cycling of hyperfixations and all that…

I’m 21 years old, any pronouns, I’m mixed race, and I’ve got ADHD. Currently wrapping up my undergrad and preparing for a masters in sociolinguistics. I speak C2 English and C1 French, hoping to learn either Catalan or Breton in the near future. Major research interests include minority languages, language politics, linguistic nationalism, and conlangs. Other interests/fandoms/hyperfixations include Phineas and Ferb, Pinegrove, nerdfighteria, musical theater, religious studies, conlanging/ worldbuilding, and public transit! Politics: pacifist, environmentalist, pro linguistic diversity and high speed rail, anti car based infrastructure and technofascist mind control. I’m also vaguely Buddhist sometimes!

the third verse oh my god the third verse: when she looks away from the audience, and the look of deeply buried sadness and disappointment on her face, and the INCREDIBLE build to the musical climax...

and finally the outro, musically slowest part of the song, with the softest vocals yet, how her eyes are so wide but she ends with looking at the ground

multiple things can be true at once. the sexualization and fetishization of trans people in mainstream media (just look up the "mtf" tag on tumblr you'll see) is a massive issue that leads to stigma and dehumanization AND autogynophelia is a bullshit destructive myth that has held the community back for years AND allo trans people of all types deserve their own sexualities, to see themselves as legitimate sexual beings without stigma or shame AND this can actually help some people (like me) process their own transness. we need to be able to understand all these complicated realities at once! we need to see the world in general and sexuality specifically with the nuance it deserves!
