When are we gonna eat? -Open starter-

Growling. Touya's stomach growls loudly as they try to occupy their mind with crayon drawings. They're sitting on the floor in the streets trying to pass the time. ".....G...Gotta save it. Can't eat it yet..." they only have one pack of Caloriemates. Monokuma took away the mountain of snacks Touya stacked in their pantry. "Huh?" They perk up looking at the person infront of them. "Oh hello! How are you? I was drawing a bit wanna see?" They say happily but tilt their head as soon as they hear the other persons stomach growl. "Ahaha we have stomach monsters huh?"

Greg was a little surprised when Touya kept holding onto him, but he didn’t object. “…Fermented? I um…I guess I can try it.” He gives them a small smile and a nod.

When Greg saw the cabinet practically overflowing with snack foods, his eyes widened and an ecstatic, toothy grin lit up his face. “Holy shit, this is even better than the pantry back home…wait, are those the flavored kit kats I keep hearing about?”

Chuckling they nod "Oh yeah! My favorite is the Creamy Apple filling, you should try it~" tip toeing using their free hand they grab a package of kitkat. "Chie hates this kind, never really an apple girl. She'd always smack apples out of peoples hands if they offered it to her!" handing Greg a small pack of the kitkats they let go of his sleeve to grab other snacks.

"I have no clue why but I wanna pig out! Oink Oink!...so you don't get this stuff in America?"

Greg listened to Touya’s voice shake as they spoke, and felt a pang of sympathy. Greg knew that Touya had already lost two people they cared about, and though Greg was certainly disturbed by all the death and the nagging reminder at the back of his head that he could be next, he hadn’t lost people he was close with. The only deceased student he had ever even spoken to was Janet, and though some tears were shed when she was killed by Monobear, his feelings towards her weren’t as strong as Touya’s towards Dane or Honda.

Greg tried to go along with Touya’s attempt to lift the mood - if they were trying to cheer up, there was no reason for him to keep both of them dragged down in melancholy, right? He gave them a quick hug, before responding, “Uh…maybe? What is it?”

Tensing a little from the hug, gripping Greg's sleeve to keep him hugging them "It's these soy beans that are fermented! They're super sticky and a little smelly but I think they taste amazing!" Tugging his sleeve they walk with him in tow to the cabinet. "I may have some sweet things if you don't like it but it's mostly sour and bitter stuff."

Opening the cabinet it seems to be overflowing with snack of varying kind even the infamous multi flavored doritos, kit kats, oreos and others. "It's a force of habit of me to buy this sweet stuff since Chie loves it."

Greg’s face fell when Touya released his hand and mentioned Dane. Greg ran through a hand through his hair and disheveled it, a habit of his whenever he was thinking. “I…I don’t know, Touya…” Greg muttered, his solemn tone matching Touya’s. He hadn’t ever really interacted with Dane, much less formed a bond, but he could tell Touya missed him a lot.

Speaking again Touya's voice sounds more shaky "I...I regret not talking to him more...he was really nice calming me down after the first murder..plus he'd get everyones attention when we had trials I..." they hiccup before shaking their head "S-Sorry I shouldn't be talking about this when we're trying to cheer up....so wanna try natto?" in a flash Touya's voice sounds happy again, a little forced but happy as they clap their hands together joyfully.

Greg stumbles slightly as he follows after Touya, listening to them listing off the different snacks they had. “Ooo, you have seaweed?! I love seaweed!” Though Greg always was more fond of sweet snacks than salty ones, he did have a weakness for certain salty foods, and seaweed was definitely one. “Back home I always tried to get people to try these roasted seaweed snacks I found at the grocery store, a lot of people thought they were gross but I loved them!”

Opening the door to lead the boy in Touya says happily "That's good! Chie only like seaweed for face stuff, I never understood that...but I'm glad someone else likes'em too!" they pause for a second when they let go of Greg's hand before looking down "Mother Hen..you think he liked seaweed? I never got to ask him about it..." they sound quite solemn when speaking of Dane.

Greg’s face visibly brightens after Touya mentioning having snacks in their apartment. If there was one thing that could make Greg feel better when he was in a bad mood, it was food. Squeezing Touya’s hand, he gave an eager nod of agreement. “Yeah, that sounds great!”

Touya leads the way eagerly as they seem to skip a little tugging Greg along "I got Natto, soy rice crackers, seaweed, oh oh and salted eel!" they list off the rather salty sounding snacks and some obscure ones with Japanese names. It takes a few minutes until they're at the door of Touya's apartment.

Greg forced himself to stop walking, relinquishing his grip on Touya’s sleeve with a sigh. “Sorry, I just really wanted to get out of there…that trial took forever and I was just about ready to give up all hope. Sometimes I wonder if that would be the best option, yeah?” He shrugged. “We can go to my apartment, or yours. Whichever you like, I just want somewhere I can lie down for a while.”

"...I couldn't give up hope to be honest...otherwise he'd win.." after a few seconds they perk up and says "I have snacks in my apartment! We can go there if you want!" they sound a little excited as they hold Gregs hand. Seems like they are trying to cheer him up as well as themselves in the process.

Each step still hurt Touya more and more as Greg was tugging their sleeve.  Keeping the cd in their pocket and letting one hand sway wistfully they speak up "Where are we going Greg?" sounding a little sad and tired as they raise one hand to rub the glass on their gasmask. "You've been silent this whole time...I mean so have I, ....never talked to Kitty Kat but I miss her.."

Puffing out his cheeks at Touya’s small rant about the paparazzi, Greg stated, “I don’t care if they follow me; I’ll probably just yell at them and cuss them out. Either way, it would be worth the paparazzi following me around everywhere to be able to hold your hand in public.” He grinned at his last sentence, then continued, “At least there’s no paparazzi to worry about in the Platinum Jail, right? So we wouldn’t have to worry about them while we’re in here; we can hold hands around the other students and they won’t care.”

They let out a small chuckle after Greg was done speaking "Alright that first part you said you'd do? My friend Ko he did it except he assaulted one of the guys! You should've seen him he's only like 4'11'! It was like seeing a small bear cub maul someone!...though I did apologize afterwards.." Touya wraps both hands around Gregs "Hm holding hands feel nice, I'm sure everyone else won't mind! Heck they might be happy who knows?"

Greg shook his head. “It’s okay, I’m sure everything will work out fine! Plus, I haven’t really been in a real relationship myself. I mean, I’ve had relationships before, but they only lasted a couple weeks, and I was only 13 and 14 when they happened. So I don’t think they really count…” He shrugged. Greg knew it was too early to make any assumptions, but he had a feeling this relationship would turn out better than his other ones. After all, it didn’t feel as awkward to be around Touya as it had with his previous girlfriends. And he hadn’t kissed his girlfriends, either.

When Touya mumbled something about food poisoning and their sister, Greg tilted his head. “Huh?”

"Oh uhm nothing! I was just muttering what I should cook for you when we get out of here!" Touya smiles widely as they chuckle.

"Sorry sorry I guess I'm still nervous about this whole going out thing..I mean do we hold hands in public now? 'cause if we do you might get the paparazii on your tail for like ever! Like seriously they followed my sister once all the way to school when they saw us walking together once and thought we were engaged. It was stupid crazy." they huff at the last part in an annoyed tone.

Winding Way ll OPEN

"Like… a comfort food? Yeah… It’s to be expected. Though it’s nothing more than strawberries. I… usually try and make myself more energetic though when I eat though."

He pushes up his glasses, taking in a good view of the now less threatening alleyways. To be done with being lost, if only for a while, was a real treat here. “So, I trust you have an idea of where this shop of yours is?”

"Ahaha if you wanna be more energetic just drink some energy drinks! " chuckling as they scope out the various shops, before pointing to one that seems to be a wooden stall with seats outside of it.

"Ah! There! There it is! I know that smell anywhere! Grade A ramen stall!" they tug at Shinji's sleeve as if they were a kid at a toy store as they continue to point "I promise you'll like it! You can have as much pork in it as you want maybe they might have sweet tea!"

"I think they have more then what I gave you..wait did you eat the Natto? Didja like it? People usually don’t like it because of the weird look of it." they occasionally tap at the wall when they get to the corner before after a few moments going the opposite direction.

"I like...

"Hmm never tried it with rice before. I always just eat it by myself. Hey ever have a certain food you eat when you're really nervous? I always have the spicest and hottest peppers, makes me sweat my worries away! "

Their tapping continues as it seems to finally lead them out of the alleyway and back to the red clad area. Touya steps on the leaves that have fallen happily as crunching is heard.

When Touya said the second kiss felt right, Greg’s face visibly brightened. The confirmation that he hadn’t messed anything up definitely helped ease the nerves that he had been feeling. “Y-Yeah, I guess it does mean we’re together!” Greg couldn’t help but realize how ironic the situation was - of all the places to start a relationship with someone, and for Greg it was happening when he was trapped inside this Platinum Jail place.

"Ahaha well be patient with me please! It's my first time being in a relationship! So if I do something dumb let me know I want to be the best partner I can be!" they smile from ear to ear as they still nuzzle Greg. Touya will be sure to try and write to their sister about this! Maybe she'll cook for Greg and them when they get back home!...oh wait no that'd be horrible maybe they'll wait a while before telling her "Because I don't want you to get  food poisoning by me little sister..." they thought out loud.

Greg holds the kiss for about five seconds, before he slowly pulls away. Raising one hand to cover his mouth, he mumbles, “Sorry, I’m probably awful at kissing…I’ll just. Stop. Yeah.” Even if the kiss was a little bit awkward, Greg still couldn’t deny...

Once they pull away they say happily and without any nervousness like before "Now that felt right! Hahaha sorry the first kiss just felt a little lame so I just went with what I felt. " they hug Greg happily nuzzling him like he was a teddy bear. "Does this mean we're like together? As in more then friends? "

Greg holds the kiss for about five seconds, before he slowly pulls away. Raising one hand to cover his mouth, he mumbles, “Sorry, I’m probably awful at kissing…I’ll just. Stop. Yeah.” Even if the kiss was a little bit awkward, Greg still couldn’t deny that it had given his body a sort of giddy rush.

Touya feels a little incomplete with the kiss, boldly they decide to do what they saw in a movie once. Grabbing the front of Gregs shirt they pull him down with all of their strength, which is only average when put to full use, to smash their lips together again. This time it feels pretty right and well complete for them. Although they hope that he won't be mad that they just did this.

Greg felt relieved, if a bit guilty, when Touya removed the lower part of their gas mask - at least Greg didn’t have to awkwardly navigate around it now. He gives a nod and a small hum of confirmation. Not wanting to drag this awkward moment out any longer, he took a deep breath, placed his hands on Touya’s shoulders, and swiftly pressed his lips against Touya’s.

They tense up since the feeling is really surprising for them "Mpph!" almost opening their mouth they close it, really unsure how to do this. If anyone where to see this, it'd probably be described as two birds that can't kiss. Luckily since Touya is keeping their mouth closed it isn't TOO weird.

Greg nods, and responds, “I-I’ll try..,” though he gets the feeling his eyes will probably be closed anyway. Shit, he had forgotten about their mask completely. Kissing was definitely not going to be easy with Touya still wearing their gas mask, though Greg knew better than to even consider asking them to remove it. He would just have to put up with it somehow.

Actually having a little bit of experience (or at least, more than Touya did) Greg felt he should initiate the kiss, but at the same time, he still wasn’t sure how this was going to work with Touya’s mask. Boy, is he awkward.

After a few moments they speak up "I..I can remove the gas can y'know.." they untwist the squished can and removes it easily, although the gas mask is still partially on lying ontop the bridge of their nose "Better? Now you won't break your nose heheha.."

Well at least they aren't saying anything dumb or rushing Greg, that'd just be rude.
