Okayyyy so Monday and Tuesday are gonna be pretty jam packed for me since I'm gonna be doing college orientation those two days and it will involve me spending the night away from my house, so expect the blog to not be so active those days (I mean then again the blog hasn't been as active as usual for the past few days since I'm tryna cut back on phone screen time so idk if there'll be much of a difference sooooo).

While spending the night over there, I might try getting more work done on the next page of Orbital Aftershow (hopefully! I mean chances are I might since I absolutely won't know anyone over there and I think I'm just gonna leave my switch at home for this one) but yeah.

I have one new chapter of the Raiders fic I need to make art for right now (will either have it done later tonight or sometime tomorrow) and I have an interlude chapter in the works right now that I'm not 100% sure I'll get done before Monday but we'll see.

Things should be back to normal-ish (ish since, you know, cutting back on phone usage) on Wednesday.

Ughhh I need to start working on the next page again but I think working on my Splatoon Raiders fic at the same time as the comic's making getting the page out there harder than it should... AAAARGGGGHHH

I ended up finding the exact font used for Orbit Orbit's logo a couple of days ago, so I might end up updating the logo for the comic sometime :D

Okay I think I have an idea for how I'll deal with pages I made mistakes on: after I'm done with the prologue completely, I'll compile all the prologue pages into one post since I think I won't end up going over the image limit with how many pages I plan on the prologue being. Before putting everything in one post tho, I'll go back and make whatever tweaks I need to for specific pages and then use those tweaked versions for the post of all the prologue pages. And then of course update the pages over on Comicfury, of course.

Work on page 15 has started! Excluding this current page, there are like maybe 3 more pages left in the prologue. If I try hard enough, maybe I can finish the prologue chapter this month.

Okayyyy so I guess it is noticeable (at least to me) that Exuvia's design has changed during the span between the first lil tease of her I made a couple pages back and now >m<

And I completely forgot some leaves on her antlers and lil bit of pants visible in the 14th page... ah whatever. Wouldn't be the first mistake I've made in the comic.

Originally her wings were just supposed to look like normal cicada wings but then I decided it would be neat if I incorporated the symbol for Exuvia (the album) into the pattern on the wings like how I put the Orbit Orbit spark in Idea's eyes.

Okay enough fucking around; I'm getting back to work on the next page later. It's two panels long and I finally figured out how to deal with Exuvia's wings (yes babygirl does have wings).

It was around this time of year that 2 years ago (I don't remember the specific day but I know for a fact it was during the beginning of summer break that year), I found out about Jodellavita and that music video would cause a massive butterfly effect in my life (in the best way possible of course), leading me to trying to learn Italian, go out of my way to spend 40 bucks on what is probably one of my most favorite books ever, starting a fanmade continuation of said book, and getting some cool new mutuals and followers in general along the way.

Believe it or not, a whole lotta good came out of this weird lil music video and I'm forever grateful that this thing made its way into my recommended :3

I also, very evidently, wanted to mess around with backgrounds for this page. I mean drawing these guys in the same gray and navy blue area a bunch gets boring after a while, ya know?
