i was browsing ur stp art recently and im kinda curious about how your smitten x damsel x cold works? it seems so interesting... and maybe a doodle of them three if you're up to it.... thank you!!

This ask is referencing that modern au I had, and the convoluted ship chart that connected Cold, Smitten, and Damsel! ^^

While I don't ship Cold x Damsel, I do ship Cold x Smitten and Smitten x Damsel.

Burned Bridges! +plus ramblings about their dynamic under the cut!

When I was trying to figure out if burned bridges (Smitten x Cold) could have an expanded dynamic based on their dialogue in the burned grey:

A particular piece of dialogue really intrigued me and made me believe there was more to Cold's unrippling exterior.

Adversarial Fury is referring to how dependent her identity is on ours. When we deny her purpose of fighting with us by refusing to fight, we invalidate her identity. She lost a part of herself: the part that included us.

Could it be that completing our sole objective in the Spectre route by slaying the princess, we irreversibly destroyed a part of our identity? The Cold is dissatisfied with a loop. He wants a conclusion to our story, or to find the next thing, because he knows he'll never get that part of ourselves back. Left with only endurance, monotony, and curiosity, he is trying to compensate for the identity we lost: the part of ourselves that included the Princess. He accepts that, but he isn't necessarily happy with it. That is why his route is labeled as "longing" in the Stranger monologue.

With that in mind, to expand burned bridges, perhaps Smitten can be "the princess" for him. In return, Cold can ground Smitten and remind him of his true objective in the HEA route. It wasn't the princess's job to make us happy, it was our job to make her happy.

In conclusion, there really is something to that dynamic of, "two more-or-less self-sufficient individuals who are drawn to one another because they compensate for what the other lacks"...

I wanted to put this here because I really haven't had much motivation to draw STP stuff!

Slay the Princess has been the single most important game I've ever played, and it will forever remain my favorite. It made me develop a lot as an artist and writer, and I couldn't be more grateful for the community I've found as a product!

With that said, as much as I love the game, the story, and the community, my hyperfixation has ran out! (Check my twitter and tiktok to see art of that!)

Don't be afraid to keep sending in asks, but I'm prioritizing my current hyperfixation and drawing gifts for friends and family!

sooo since ur asks are always open, could we pretty pretty please get some wounded wild and tlq art? they are my silly little creatures, need them to kiss and make up and find something that will never be the same as it once was and will always carry the scars of what it couldve been but its still good and worth experiencing and in its own way exciting and better then what they once had even if a little weird and unknown (i love the wilds very much can you tell?)

(also take ur time, as an artist myself i totally get it if you actually never get around to making this and even if you take a hundred million years to do it i'll still be over the moon <3 )

the Wild was actually the very first vessel I ever got! I started with the Beast, then after making the wrong decision, I slew her from within, ending my very first run getting Networked Wild with Hunted and Opportunist.

It's interesting to see such love for her! I never really 'got' her so she's less favored in my mind.

But your message is so well-written, profound, and emotional that I appreciate her a lot more :D

in my opinion, Networked wild is very beautiful, godly, and intimidating. other than Stranger, the Princess and the Dragon, and Apotheosis, she's the closest to the Shifting Mound.

Wounded Wild is very beautiful, mature, but sad... the one time I summoned the courage to get her, I felt extremely guilty :')

tlq is my favorite boy failure in gaming history...

it's always interesting how unfazed all the princesses are, but Prisoner is cautious. I like to think she's a little freaked out by the player
