A car whizzed past Vyxn as she walked towards the lavish apartment building. The band she performed for had traveled here to perform for the locals. What a privilege to perform for the wealthy, white, and drunk. However there were a few bonuses. First was that this place was home to many musicians and actors alike. The second, was that their band had received a generous donation from one of the famous actresses, -who also sang- Florence Hahn. It was the day of their performance, and Vxyn -feeling quite excited yet bored- decided to pay Florence a visit before the show. There was a rumor that Florence was a queer so that was quite intriguing as well.

The apartment complex was fancy, blinding, and so clean you could run your tongue across the floors. Room 38 was Florence’s floor. “Be careful of the other girl, she looks sweet but could probably ya in a heartbeat." The lady at the counter spoke in a nasally tone and her breath wreeked of nicotine.

Each step up the stairs was like a drum in Vxyn’s ears. She walked past halls of screaming couples, elegant music, and deafening laughter, until she found it. Room 38. She knocked gently. No answer. She knocked again. No answer? Slowly, She turned the doorknob only to find it unlocked. Once the door creaked open, she could see that there stood a woman dressed in a fine white dress and linen gloves with her back to the door, but head turned towards Vxyn. In her left hand was a knife cloaked in deep red blood. In front of the woman was what seemed to be Florence, dressed in a black dress, golden blonde hair in bouncy curls, black lipstick, -to match the band, of course!- high heels, and a hole in her stomach. The silence seemed to stretch on forever.

Orchid ran through the doors of the building, Florence in her arms. “HELP! HELP! FLORENCE HAHN HAS BEEN IMPALED!” Orchid cried. She screamed the sentence multiple times, catching the attention of many. People ran towards them, kneeling next to orchid and Florence. People with cameras and notepads rushed over, policemen, singers walking through the streets for attention, everyone. Orchid looked clean and unscathed, and was wearing a different dress and no gloves, she was also crying with her makeup smudged.
