My brother can't read, my brother can rebuild an engine with scraps from a junkyard, my brother is dexterous, my brother is dangerous, my brother got his GED, then went and got his PhD, my brother gotta glock 40, my other brother made a song about his glock 40, now my nephew got a glock 40, my brother is non-violent, my brother got a purple heart from that war, my brother is a hero, my brother got a red flag from that other war, my brother is a savage, My brother died for his president My brother died for his presidents, my brother made the news again, my brother fit the description, my brother didn't come home last night, my brother just got health insurance, my brother died on that concrete, my brother is a martyr, my brother is a target. Research is so important y’all. 

The sculpture, called Viccisitudes, is by Jason de Caires Taylor. The underwater sculpture is 5 meters deep in the water near Grenada, West Indies. It illustrates children from the island holding hands and it’s illustrative of how children grow and reflect their environment. Taylor’s sculptures combine his degree in sculpture making, underwater naturalism, and underwater photography skills to make things like this. The sculptures also help facilitate coral growth.

I ripened there. In the pit of the peach state.  My backbone a long leaf pine, rising majestically through the buckle of the bible belt. They say every time the sun peeks through a sky shrouded grey, an eagle gets its wings. I got mine. It's time to fly. Trading red clay for bayou, but I'll always know my way home. I'll never forget the fountain springing from the banks of the chattahoochee. Understated yet quietly confident city. I'll always cherish the warriors who bred me for flight. Who taught me to work hard, think harder and give thanks. I thank the creators who inspired me to open my mind, and wipe away the sleep crusted on my eyes and see the world as a tragically beautiful masterpiece. I thank kickbacks and Friday nights for giving me life. Perfection. Forever. And angel with an earth toned finish and tangled halo. I love you all. I live through you. Be primal, no primate. Be calloused. Mimic the the welts left on runaway spines. Mask the pain behind hate hardened flesh. The callous on the ball of my left foot causes my unsteady gait. I traipse across this blemished titled linoleum, spouting simple salutations as my skin thickens with each step. Herding profits. Filling pockets. photosynthesizing oxygen to get only a breath. The elephant in the room is getting comfortable, he knows why he is here and won't forget. Transaction after transaction, pieces of me dispensed with every interaction, we have a special on passion, buy one get one freed mind, need more? Here's mine, it's not being used currently. Bruised currency, whored by many hands. Faded glories on sweat beaded scalps. Dreams lost in the folds. Some synapses won't allow dreams to move freely, for fear they will conquer your mind. We must day dream, conscious and in control. Not only at night fall. Not only with subconscious interpretations. But with our eyes opened. Oriented on freedom. (Don't know how to finish this piece)
